I just realized if we shoot a second animal we add 50 bonus points to our score. Team captain needs to message everyone to shoot does and we can win this contest.if everyone on the team shoots a doe that’s worth 550 points all by itself .you have to look at like baseball home run hitters put some runs on the board but we need guys to get on base to win
I will try to shoot a doe this week and get us closer to 700.
We have until end of January for ever person on this team to kill a doe. It will take 5 doe kills after mine to put us back in first place.

yeah buddy, I am out of my sling now. my target buck I missed shooting x bow with one arm the week before rifle season started. neighbors got him opening morning of gun. figured he will push 160! dang, but that's hunting! the wifey shot a nice one with her gun and my bow shot a good one with his. once rifle ends this weekend I will hit the woods and get a doe for the team! also will update some pics of successful hunts and dog recoveries! hope everyone is well. the Big bucks came out of lock down this weekend in michigan and I got several calls to tracks and saw a few good bucks on there feet cruising! Good luck team!

Hey guys, sorry for being mostly absent. My father-in-law has been on a rapid decline and we have been busy helping him get everything in order for the inevitable. I have only been out 6 times total and fighting a horrible cold to boot. My sincerest apologies for being a terrible captain this year. I have not given up hope on killing a couple of deer, but priorities have definitely been scrambled as of late. I hope to get out this weekend and shoot a doe at the very least. I hope everyone on the team can do the same and if we do, we could still be in the running for this thing!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving and be thankful for what you have today.

My doe is in the contest so now it’s up to guys to take doe’s and maybe a late season buck for the win.each member needs to take at least a doe for us to win.

Trying to get out soon but as I’m sure you all know life has a way of getting in the way... trying to add a doe to the team total as all of my bucks have disappeared... who knows maybe they will come back now that the rut has wound down...

Fletch you’re family remains in my thoughts and prayers

You will have to give them a little time before they update the scorecard.

I wish everybody the best of luck closing out the season. I may try to get out once or twice more by myself but the majority of the hunts I go on the rest of the year will be with the kiddo. Keep it up! We could really give this thing a run!

Hey guys. So the last 2 weeks of my season was a s#!t show. Ends (Dec 1). I was super busy with work, life, coyote snaring; nearing the 30 coyote mark, and also deer hunting. I never gave up with my bow. I had a decent rut spot that came through for me. I was able to hit a buck. Long story short...clear line of sight. Forgot arrow is several inches below LOS. A limb on the tree I'm sitting in in the bottom of my shooting window. Hit a twig and straight up gut/ liver shot him. I would have been thrilled to take my first rut/cruiser buck with my bow! But. So I'm shooting a 100gr g5 montec. Pass through. I see he's gut shot and back out, from 5pm to 11:30 am next day. Very confident I'll find him. There was snow when i shot him but its melting fast the next day when going back. I start tracking and about 250 yards later i bump him. I can hear him breathing really hard, he's moving heavy and slow almost like he's dragging something. I believe he was very stiff!! An very close to death. I could have probably killed him then but it's just incredibly thick. I back out again but I can't go back later due to health issues, (caughing up a little blood) and the next day, 2 days after I shot him I spend a long time looking, but snow is all gone. I look on and off as I have time the next few days but no luck:( I snare coyote in the same woods I shot him and the Ravens led me to him 10 days later. Needless to say he was eaten on:(:(:( i sat there in the snow a while by his head just thinking of the whole event, relieved I found him but still saddened. I want to euro mount him but I'm not sure how bad he'll stink thawed out so I tied his antler to a tree with wire to let the critters clean him and I'll have a friend peroxide boil him after I get him clean in spring. Can he still somehow count for the contest? I assumed it was over and shot another buck with my gun last week of season and used my tag on him.

If you legally tag him and take your to picture s you should be good. If you clipped the liver he would have been dead 3-5 hours .you must of hit that deer very far back.if you find your deer alive after 8 hrs it’s time to shoot him again.
