Fields wouldn’t be bad but it would be harder to find and get permission though.

I'm in NY, could always fly maybe depending on location. Driving would be easier with the pup and gear though obv LOL

Did really well tonight! 4 of us ended with 17, 4 pintails, 10 mallards, 2 blacks, and my buddy shot a really nice mallard x black duck (it has curls and chestnut breast so its def not just a black)

Great work JPT. Nice looking pintail and black mallard cross. We would shoot quite a few of those in Western NY. The question is do you count it in you black duck limit or your mallard limit.
With the white speculum bars, curls, chestnut chest you have some wiggle room I would think.

We were talking about the same thing. It was towards the end of the hunt and he still had wiggle room for either species in his bag so we weren’t too worried about it, but its a good question!

Very nice! I haven't seen a duck or goose here in probably 3 weeks.

I'm not going to start a new thread for pheasants so figured I'd just add to this thread.

My father in law passed away a couple of weeks ago and I inherited a few guns, one of which is this one. It was never shot so thought I'd turn it into my pheasant gun and make some memories with it. Got my first with it this afternoon after a fresh snow and 30mph winds. [IMG]

Season is coming to a close here, less than a week left. Was able to sneak in another good one tonight! One shy of our mallard limit with a black and hen pin

Just heard illinois is finally pushing their season back almost a month for next 5yr season dates. Which IMO is much needed for the southern half of the state. We don’t even see true migration till January. Along with the good news comes the bad. State stamps raising to $82.50!!! And ammo tax raising to 15% !!! Gotta love the democratic state of IL. I honestly don’t know if I’ll pay $82.50. We’ll see if all this comes true

You will love it!!! I haven’t had a problem yet and I rarely clean mine. This was my second season shooting it.

Yea I am looking forward to shooting it. Feels great through shouldering and aiming feels more natural then my last gun. I took it all down and wiped and oiled some of the parts. Should be out at the skeet range tomorrow. Should run about 100 rounds through her to see how she does.
