Staying after it? Bumping up my calories a little to try and hang onto some lean mass. Going to run, my anterior/posterior/legs split for a bit. Pull downs, DB shrugs, tri extension, hex bar deads, rear delt, t bar row, skull crushers, speed bag. Still trying to work in one set of buck drag...
Ok, I've been really hit and miss in the gym since hunting season started, so it's time to get things going again. This morning's tale of the tape; 4 mile run, 150 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, and 50 pull-ups....... those were killer! With the seasons winding down for many of us, let's get back to it boys! Ha yea, I don't really focus on it as much as other big lifts. Probably goes dl, squats, ohp, then bench. I've messed up my shoulder in past and find pressing with barbell sometimes flares it up. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
If any of you guys like pre workout and other stuff check out Bucked Up Supplements. I really like there pre workout even for hunting and use it religiously. Use code auth14 if you wanna save 20% off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s why I do Mostly DB press. I can do decline without to much trouble. I have a Swiss bar that I occasionally use for OHP and flat bench too. Your obviously limited to your selection of DB’s which is a bummer. Looks terrible wl704! In a good way! Jim how was your weight and macros during deer camp? I don’t know about you but I lost a few lbs. I think sitting out in the cold increases your BMR more then you might think.
I came off of creatine about 1.5 months ago. My strength is down, I expected that. But my diet is tight, cardio is tight, and my intensity is still good, just not as much weight. Hunting season always does this to me.. but Im able to hold on to lean mass and stay pretty darn lean over all.. 148 lbs age 44.. guys if you want to lean out cuts the carbs and the fat intake, up the protein..
I'm down almost 5lbs. I think there may be something to the increased bmr with the cold. That and I just don't usually eat enough when I deer hunt for an extended period of time. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I rubbed some dirt on it. Flares up when I hit it hard (45+minutes elliptical, 100 jump lunges and I laying off heavy squats or leg presses).
The jump lunges is the culprit followed by the squats For those of you looking to drop 15+ lbs. The easiest way is to count fat grams. It's an easy macro to follow. start with how many you are currently eating in a day. Say 100 grams. if you want to see it come off fast cut that number to 50 grams a day. If you want to ease down the weight, subtract 25 grams from 100. these are just numbers to play with. But most people have no idea how many grams they eat a day, and would be shocked to know.. I keep mine under 40 grams most days. likely 30-35. Although I have a cheat day once a week. Cutting fat cuts calories, fat has more calories per gram than the other macros..9 calories per gram of fat. Do the math.
Sounds like a meniscus tear, still worth getting checked out. I do post-rehab work with people that have varying types of knee tears. If a buddy of mine has listened to me when he asked for advice a year ago, he would not have had ACL surgery last week. He is only 34 years old and has had both ACLs reconstructed now.
Bumper sticker- Eat tight, die anyway. Sign in a bakery- If you lick the icing off a cupcake, it becomes a muffin and then it's healthy. Best diet is to count carbies- minimum 30 per day and maximum of 60 per day. Been on it before and it works! Basically you limit starches and sugar intake.
I’m not a huge fan of diets that demonize certain macronutrients. It has been easy for me to enjoy a varied diet without excluding certain foods or macronutrient groups while maintaining my weight and composition. Any diet that results in a caloric deficit will result in weight loss. After the initial weight loss the problem becomes sustainability. Most people revert back to their old ways. Whatever works for you and keeps you healthy I suppose.
