Day 4 was a blast, lot of surf and almost a full limit of white wing scoters, another harlequin, another goldeneye, and a few buffleheads. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

We've got a warm up coming but we're pretty well locked up at this point here in MN. Be switching gears to pheasants soon.

Last day in Alaska. Rounded out the last few birds we were looking for. 56 birds in 5 days, everyone got at least 2 harlequin drakes, surf and white wing scoter, buffleheads, and golden eyes.

    What a trip. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Congrats Doc. Looks like a great time. I've never taken a Harli or a Barrows GE.
Looks like a blast. I use to run a MLB classic. One of my favorite ways to hunt.

Thanks! I've still not hunted out of a layout boat on the ocean, gonna need to do that at some point to go after old squaw, and maybe eventually king eiders.

I’m trying to get excited. We scratched some teal early season. I used to have some of the best goose fields in my area....until the farmers son got old enough to want to hunt lol. Public where I’m at in Illinois kinda sucks. Up on Illinois and Mississippi River is where to be I just don’t have the time anymore. Should get out for a few outings but seems the migration has shifted west for the most part. Got a buddy out in Kansas. Hope I can get on same page with him next year maybe. Never thought I’d say I lost the fire for waterfowling .

No. Unfortunately not. We let that trip fizzle out too. Since Mayo Clinic in Rochester let’s the lake freeze we figured we would start checking out some other places. Just haven’t put it together yet. I know it will only take one trip to get me going again lol.

Would be a LONG drive but there's a guide in Fergus Falls that kills an insane amount of birds late season.

Got that right. I’ve contemplated the trip. Maybe next year I’ll take the trip for 3 days of hunting.

Hell it'd be worth the trip. I'd even consider tagging along for a hunt or 2 if it's after harvest.

Was just thinking about this the other day! Getting a nice group together form here for a fun and epic hunt next season!

We may be better off sticking to field hunts maybe? I'm sure we can figure something out!
