No go tonight. Ghost town. Maybe being 65° had a little to do with it?

Hell I don't know, was starting my final drink and the first one was taking over

Both pics the arms are stretched a bit, but think it was the other one Ibwas referring. I'm all about emphasis on the rack and highlighting the character, this example wasn't as blatant as others.

Seems some people have to try to increase the spread or something(not in this instance) yet don't realize the ears tell the story.

A rabbit, a doe fawn, and a flock of turkey that roosted behind me. One poor thing took a tumble. SNAP! Crash snap thump thump and a THUD!. Lol I hear this at least once every fall...turkey don't bounce. But they have all survived.

2 more days of work and I'll be back out still some mature bucks being taken during daylight on some local groups.

Alsheimer's theory would have good activity coming up over the next week.

OMG guys, I think I just came up with a multi million dollar idea.

Afraid as hell to post the picture or even talk about it publicly.

Could be my ticket out of IL and into retirement.

How much can you get for selling your idea to someone and let them do the legwork. Guess I would need to get the patent and such....

Finally out. So I'm going to chalk this limited day time movement to the 70°+ temps. As the sun set 8 does and a couple of strangler fawns all came out into the food plot. Then a forky, spike, unicorn spike and a little 6, not so sexy, all filed in and starting chasing two does in particular, the piebald being one of them. They ran them all over the place. Last light came and went they finally moved out and I made tracks, slow sloth like tracks. You know the fun of bowhunting is that walk in and out, that's twice a day I get to feel like a ninja.

Completed my first solo euro mount. I suck but screw it. The color is in honor of my buddy that found the buck..yes I realize I accidentally got a little red on the antlers. Started getting upset then realized nothing is perfect and started laughing. This hunt and recovery were far from it. Im leaving the red splotches on the antlers as a reminder of the entire story and its imperfection. 20191119_205831.jpg

Mmmm. Love me some hasenpfeffer or a good rabbit noodle soup. When I was a kid we killed rabbits and quail by the tailgate full. The predators cleaned them out and then farming to the edges left nowhere for them. They are making a comeback though in my area
