Deer with black oily hair on scrotum

    Anyone ever shoot a buck that had black oily hair on its scrotum.

    Smell just like the tarsal gland. I'd never seen it before.

    Anyone have insight on what it might be.

    I mean this guys thing was bare.. no hair and his nut sack was black and oily. inside of his thighs white hair was brown with the stink..

    What did it taste like?:lol:

    I kid, don't mean to make sport of you. Never heard of such a condition but not sure what a deer's scrotum looks like this time of year. I know if I waited a year and didn't have to say please my scrotum would probably pick up an odor too.

    Serious the hair was just like a tarsal gland..

    Unusual scenario. My son's Lab wound up with some kind if crotch rot and had to have his scrotum and testicles removed. Vet didn't have anything to cure it. This would be an interesting subject at work!
