Congrats on him. Nothing wrong there. I keep thinking he should still be little more than that each time I look, I was thinking 80 anyway, but always tough to tell from pics. Sometimes seems bigger, sometimes smaller. Either way a good kill and addition to the scoreboard

I was just curious as to what you guys thought about the situation.

From what I understand the buck he shot earlier in the year used up his iowa statewide resident tag which left him with his landowner buck tag. He killed a deer I believe it was on 11/1 or right around there, it was not killed on property that he owned and from what I gathered it was not killed (and or recovered) on property that he even had permission to be on. Two big time no no’s in the great state of Iowa. He ended up posting the shot, track, and recovery all over social media’s for everyone to see including the Iowa DNR.

It was stated in an earlier video that he had to hunt his personal property since he had already used his statewide buck tag, but he didn’t have any target deer on his home farm.

Everything has since been deleted and blocked from all of his social media pages. Radix has since dropped him and released an apology letter to their customers. I hope that the guys that helped him find the deer had no clue what was going on, but if they did shame on them as well.

To me the hunt and camaraderie is worth so much more then the fame and fortune.

Good luck to everyone still hunting! Kill, kill, kill!

Sounds like some pretty sketchy choices. It’s been interesting hearing all the different state regs that come up and seeing what people do. Seems like every state has different rules on property, shooting times, minerals, bait, stands, tagging, and everything else. Never knew any of it varied so much til got on here. Curious how things play out

It is crazy what deer do some people, I just dont get it why even tow the line? Just enjoy the sport (hobby, passion, lifestyle, job, ect) withihn the bounds your allowed to.
Reminds me of this guy my dad worked with guy was making over a million a quarter as a trader- decided to try and skim some off the top, something to the line of 10 million, got caught jail, lost licence, ect. Had to put him in suicide watch, he lost everything, his amazing job lifestlye. It always blew my mind how someone who already had so much wanted so much more...

Today I added 50 points to our total. Got a nice doe to fill the freezer! Now that my only doe tag is filled, it's time to kill a buck.

Go to the top of the official score card thread where you add your kills. They update if every 7 days or so

That goes for you and a few others on our team!! Stay after them... Hell look at it like this. In most states - the season isn’t even half over yet. A lot of big deer will still be killed in the next month and a half by bow. It’s a grind - but I always try and treat every single hunt as opening morning...

I’m a Cubs fan and I thought this quote from Nicholas Castellanos this season was an awesome perspective to carry with you in life in general.

“If what has happened is a memory. And what is going to happen is a thought. Your taking yourself out of right now. So in that case - everyday is openin day!”

Well my Rutcation was kinda slow if I’m being honest. While I saw some deer, the few buck I saw weren’t very big or close enough anyway, and they didn’t respond to calls of any kind. Even the cameras haven’t shown a lot of daytime activity which is extremely odd for our area. Unfortunately now I might not get back out with the bow until late season, but I haven’t given up hope yet, maybe I’ll at least be able to take a doe and put some points on the board.

How it's been for me too. Think it's the full moon and lock down in conjunction. I predict that the next 7 days coming off the full moon will be pretty good and mature bucks will start seeking new estrous does.

I'll be hunting tomorrow from about 10:30AM til dark. Having used my only doe tag, it's a buck only from here on. I kind of like the idea that I only have one target to focus on. Looking forward to tomorrow, because conditions are going to be great!

It really is a great day to release an arrow, and those are my intentions! I'll be leaving for the woods in two hours, can't wait.
