Here's an expanded view as well to give an idea of where ag fields and such are in relation.

Noy by me, I can recover it on though, except for the rectangle with no markings right below it. That is a 5 acre piece my uncle bought about 7 years ago that is also landlocked.

Oh yeah we got that also. Sat in it tonight with my uncle and seen 5 does a fork horn and a young 10 point chasing the Does.

well i have all intentions to go in the morning now that my daughter is good to go. until i walked outside a moment ago. looks like we are getting a major ice storm right now. i doubt the roads will be salted early enough. so i may have to wait a bit before heading out. i'll make a decision in the am.

Just caught up on thread, congratulations guys that got one on ground. I sat out today, was a pretty crappy day here with the wind and snow. I'm trying to decide about tomorrow. Wanna get in that stand I hung other day but still haven't trimmed lanes so idk if should go first thing or wait and go mid morning and try a midday sit seeing as that's when bumped deer out other day. I'd be able to make it in pretty quiet across field. With the temps being below zero on morning hard to get excited to wake up at 4 am ha. Won't take much trimming really and could take shears to make quick work. So idk as of right now gonna wake up planning to go and see what weather is doin. Cold is one thing bit if the winds is kicking idk ha.

Sounds like you made a good effort.
At least the conditions are good to preserve the meat if you can look more tomorrow. It happened me on the opener this year. It happens, keep your head up.

You looking to get it for this season or does it matter. I've been looking at new bows and if pull trigger I'd have one to get rid of. Right now got a Mathews zxt, 12 or 13 model I think, it's prettt short axel to axel. So be pretty compact for youngster. Probably sell if with all the accessories. Can pm if ya got any questions.

I'm right there with you, brother. I seem to roller coaster from year to year. Terrible 19 so far (and I might be done) with a grazed doe and a lost and surely dead buck; last year in 2018 I had a great season with 2 bucks down within sight including my biggest buck to date, and several other bucks passed. 2017 I was skunked, 2016 was a good year...that's hunting though. Ups and downs.

Reading your post after this one, all I can say is maybe draw on deer you have no intention of shooting? Or do what I am going to start doing which is taking a 2 breath pause before every shot? Should focus you to the point where it's frozen in your brain.

I like the bottom x , but shifted right slightly. Those two pinch points dump out right there. As long as your wind is flowing toward the top of the pic I would think it would be a great afternoon spot. Morning g spot as well if you can get in without disturbing the deer coming back from your top deer head icon.
