Yeah it was definitely a bummer. Been putting in a ton of effort this season and I know it was only a button buck but it felt great for everything to come together on public land and with a recurve. Then again, hunting wouldn't be fun if everything worked out all the time. I'm back in stand now

Had a young 6 point work in behind me at 25 yards. If he made a left instead of a right on the trail he would've come into 12 yards. Tried to bleat at him to turn him around but he had his nose down moving quick, presumably on the trail of a hot doe. Felt good to at least see a deer. Rushed out after my class and got an hour of treestand therapy in

I saw an 8pt chasing a doe this evening, and I had a basket 8pt wander past me at 10yards at 4:30PM. I let him enjoy life for a while longer. nice to finally see some rut activity. I'll be back out tomorrow, not at first light though. Rest needed badly.

No apologies needed my friend. That's a beast! Hell yeah.

If only I could add some points for us. Nit for the lack of trying. My times coming. I can feel it!

I know I can’t contribute any more points, and some of you guys saw him in the LFTS thread but I finished my Michigan season with a thwack this morning on a great buck. Image1573257695.627195.jpg Image1573257737.878276.jpg Image1573257776.818495.jpg

Hell of a season!! He’s a great looking deer.

This team’s got some hammers on it I’m telling you what... I hope to finish out my 50 points soon but if we can have another couple guys that are hunting hella hard put a buck down watch out!

I agree great start and still time and tags to make a pretty amazing season. I may finish out with rifle with the family out or might be able to get out late season still for a buck. Really depends. Kids would go nuts getting to be with for one to go down. Don’t count on me for a monster or anything but hopefully reasonable shot at something by end of season.

Plenty of time! Some of you guys have been huntin real hard - gotta put that time in and it will happen for sure.

I’d say a couple decent bucks and a couple doe thay should give us a chance for sure.
