    Hey TC,

How did you get more snow than I. 30 minutes shouldn't be that much of a difference

5 inches of snow. - to 10 inches of snow
    Usually the other way around

Mornings like this remind me of why I got rid of my Summit deathtrap climber. Those damn aluminum slats... I'm using my cousins as a saddle base this AM and it's covered in snow that has become ice. Every weight shift it pops like an old man's hip, and forget about leaning out hard.

Oh well, at least there's no wind to cover the racket. Sigh

Mornings like that is when aluminum sucks! Might be time to make a platform from steel, just for days like this. I made one out of rebar. It's heavy, but dead quiet! Haven't used it yet, not cold enough here.

I wonder where the deer are at. No sightings on the north end in almost 2 weeks. Not even a fawn. We have some of the only corn around still standing, I’m just off the inside corner in a transition area filled with rubs and scrapes, which borders the swamp/willows they are bedding in. Just crazy.

My normal base is the top part of a LW hand climber (cast and mostly silent save for the occasional wet boot squeak) but that's what I shot my buck out of last night and I wanted to give that area a break. Left the sticks and base in tree when I went to tracking. My cousin uses this climber as a lock on and it was a lot shorter walk in and I'm sore as heck from yesterday. Knew it was a risk but wow is it loud

Be patient. Those 2 to 3 hrs after sunup cruisers are coming downwind of that bedding area.

Just had an absolute giant at about 100yds. He was headed toward me and the wind swirled a little and he headed in another direction. One of the largest bucks I've ever seen!
