Yeah, i think i'm going out in the wind tomorrow afternoon. We wait all year for November, I'm not gonna let a little wind keep me out of the woods.

Just trying to figure out where to setup in the heavy wind.

Well, today was very slow until about 3:45PM when I saw an 8pt chasing a doe. She broke away from him and went a different direction.
About 4:30 I had a basket 8pt walk 10yrds out broadside. I just took video and let him go on his way. Today was the only actual rutting behavior I've witnessed this season, but having that 8pt come trough was promising for my spot. Today was a good day in the woods, especially when you let a legal one walk. :tu:

Yeah, that was my ass shot buck from last year. He turned to go back just as I was commited to squeeze the crossbow off. It was like that the entire 45yds and he died at his bed.

My attitude when I get in the stand vs when I leave.

I froze my nuts off for 6 hours before finally seeing a deer at 5:50. The skinny 8 got another pass at 5 yards. He grunted softly as he walked by, but stopped to drink from a puddle and eat some acorns. Another 2 year old 8 popped out and they just strolled off together. Weirdest rut ever!

I am finally able to hit the woods good tomorrow. Game plan is hang my run and gun setup midday depending on which of my spots seems to have the most activity. I will also be bring along two other sets to hang depending on how tomorrow evening's hunt pans out. I am pretty stoked and have the next 3 weeks off work. I will keep you all updated. Best of luck everyone!

I was soaked and cold by time I got done. I said the hell with it and left the climber at the tree. I’ll hunt that spot in a couple days if it’s still there. Washing up the artic shield stuff tonight for tomorrow’s adventure.

All day sit for me tomorrow! Corns getting harvested as we speak about 100 yards from the stand. He’s been cutting corn all week. I’ll be just inside the woods over the feeder just off a trail from buck bed to doe bedding. Got my buck from this stand two years ago. Hoping to make it happen tomorrow here too. Going to lay a bag of some high potent feed about 25 yards from the stand just as extra to help pull him in. Got some big boys on camera including a buck I would say is about 160-170” would be a lottery win for me to get a shot off at him!!! Here’s to hoping IMG_1240.JPG IMG_1242.JPG o could be wrong on the numbers. What’s your guys input

It's already 24 degrees heading towards a 17 degree low. It's November for crying out loud. 30's and low 50's is fine

Think I'm going to walk to the stand tomorrow rather than use the wheeler. Woods are going to be dead still, get a little warmth built up and know for certain if I bump anything.
