My 13 yo grandson is ate (eaten?) up with hunting and fishing. He has been on YT, looking at videos. I might have asked this before but my memory is lacking these days. What are some good YT shows that are like BHOD that he could watch or subscribe to. I have some videos but these get old after a while. Thanks.

The Hunting Public, Born and Raised Outdoors, Randy Newberg are my favorite youtube hunting shows. If you are into elk hunting you need to check out the BRO Land of the Free 1.0 and 2.0 projects.

Growingdeer.tv is a good one as well. Teaches a lot about quality deer management.

Another vote for The Hunting Public and Midwest whitetail here. Midwest whitetail has a lot of info about food plots and habitat management while THP is largely strategy and scouting related for public land. Both awesome shows.

Midwest Whitetail and The Hunting Public are my favorites. For Fishing Scott Martin and Brian Latimer make good videos.

Thanks. Didn't realize there were so many channels. Now I have to reveal my ignorance of YT. If one subscribes, they get updated videos, am I correct? Need to make a list and check them out for confirmed YT addresses to pass along.

Brian Latimer makes some of the best fishing videos out there for information.
The hunting Pblic is very well done and engaging too.
There's a slew of other bass fishing guys in the "googan squad" that I cant stand- they seem fake and annoy me but they have TONS of followers

Alright Uncle Sota is here to piss on the Wheaties, none of it. Be the example spend quality time. What a kid sees on a hunting show is not likely to match reality. Kids watch the stuff and when it is cold and no deer showing the excitement dies and it goes from I can't wait to this sucks.

Although I don’t agree totally with uncle Sota here about not watching any of them, he does bring up a good point. There will be times when there is no deer sightings. We don’t see the countless hours on stand these guys put in to get that 5 min video of the buck and the shot. That’s why I think THP is a little more like reality in that they do not always see deer when they are hunting. Just my 2 pennies

Many times outdoor videos, as mentioned, require shooting hours of recording to get a few minutes of game coming into view. the shot, and the final showing of the downed game. How many of us have had the same experience? I started to watch Monster Bucks XXXIII with each hunting segment only a few minutes long.
It's either watch outdoor videos or outdoor stuff on YT or watch the Hallmark Channel with the wife.
