I had a trip planned for pike county on a farm to ML hunt in December. Called to get my tag on Friday and they were sold out. I didn't even know that was a thing.

Dang it. I just heard that the tall 8 I've been looking for is dead now as well. No more of my target bucks in circulation ... we'll just have to see what comes around now in the rut to service the does - that's not a terrible thing. You never know what you're going to see!
Big cold front is coming in here Thursday. I took vacation on Friday so hopefully this weekend I can knock one down!

Yeah we were going on the Dec 6-8 gun hunt. I guess I could get a bow tag instead. Not sure how that works up there.
You can’t use a bow tag durning shotgun season. You can during the later muzzleloader season but have to wear orange. You are allowed to use a bow durning shotgun season but the firearm tag is the only legal tag at the time. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
