Ah, the big city. I love the sounds of leaf blowers, Jack hammers, car horns, the traffic.
I don’t miss being in the woods at all, at the best time of year.

( Someone just shoot me already) :bigcry:

Saw 1 spike this morning. Checked card from the stand I was at and this guy was cruising by at 415 yesterday. Of course he didn’t want to show today. Can not hunt tonight having my daughters birthday party at 5. 59457415995__A9C5D4E8-7245-4891-A0F0-39B62EC74535.JPG

You guys crack me up. Nothing moving here but me. With the wind picking up I will be taking a long lunch and running an errand before I punch in for the PM shift.

We need some bucks to hit the dirt. Shocker is going to drop the hammer I’m calling it now.

For those of you bored at work, home, or maybe watching leaves fall in the woods - here's a quick snap of my buck in the process of becoming a European mount:

    IMG-4416.JPG

The butcher told me 106lbs of meat came off this deer. I don't know much about that kind of stuff, but that sounded like a lot to me!

I'm up finally! It only took 2 hour to pic a tree! I had a spike walk by me at 20 yards when walking in at 10. I tryed 3 trees to climb, but none felt good once I was in them. Started climbing the tree I'm in now and half way up, a doe stands up not 20 yards from me! Well at least I know there deer in here.

So alittle back story on this spot. Been watching it for 3 years and never hunted it. I hunted 1 time last year about 200 yards away. 3 years ago I found a cluster of rubs. Huge and tall, completely destroyed. I came back next year in winter, and same thing, but bigger and more trees. So this year is my first time in and sure enough, destroyed again! Looks like he did it last night. A huge scrap the size of a car hood. Buck sign all over this little 75 yards square area. I setup on the edge of it along a creek. Winds not great, swirling. But still worth sitting. Hoping he using the creek as a travel path and scrapes are up wind of creek this evening. Also I keep smelling a buck. I think he is close!
