Arrow Selection- Weight, FOC%, ETC

    nice! I have hunted and killed a lot of deer with muzzy heads over the years.. I tried rage heads about 10 years ago and never looked back.. never a single issue with them.. have killed a ton of deer with them and I truly believe they are one of the best mech heads ever produced. I have seen a lot of people use them for elk and moose and bear..and caribou and many african game animals without failure.. I have not hunted with a fixed head in a long time, but if I were going to hunt with one, a muzzy 3 blade or a standard slick trick would likely be my choice.

    I've got Rage Hypos on right now and have yet to shoot a deer with them. Heard great things about them and I'm excited to see for myself.

    That's what I am shooting this year.. Killed one a few weeks ago, did it's job well... as always... btw, shop just called everything should be in tomorrow and I will have it set up tomorrow afternoon and be hunting with it Saturday morning!!

    Got a question about my arrows. Im shooting beman ICS 400 , 29" long , Im pulling 53 lb with 28 1/2 draw length. I dont know about the weight , spine etc. hoping somebody can help with that. Just want to make sure my arrows are ok for my setup. Thanks

    Ive been using 100 grain swackers, Im thinkin about goin to a 100 grain cut on contack head.

    You are perfect spine! Wouldn't hurt to have some more FOC. So 100 gr broadhead and brass insert around 50-75gr would be best but you are plenty where you're at.

    Just don’t go too heavy up front it will weaken your spine.
