I think our captain is going to strike first on the new 2K property. I can't hunt tonight because the farmer is taking out the beans. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I sure hope so! I’ve got 4 different parcels of land and only one of them are pasture with cattle. That’s where I’m hunting in the morning. I’m going in blind tomorrow without any scouting. I’m going to kind of build a makeshift blind and sit on the ground and do what I can! I’m in need of a hang and hunt setup that I can afford right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A big nothing for me tonight and it was a very weird feeling not having any movement what so ever! I'll be back out in the morning after Skinny and JR so hopefully they'll be moving in daylight checking scrapes!
I ended up changing my mind to go in early afternoon and pick out sign and set up on that. I’ve got a lot of paper work to get done for school too so I’m doing that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well it's stupid hot for us. (66) and the wind is horrible for all but 1 of my stands. We almost never get a NE wind. So I have a buddy that hasn't thrown a arrow in 2 years in my only stand for this situation. I'm trying to wind bump via stationary for him as I'm tagged out until nov 1 when I get 2 more Doe tags.
I’m sitting on the ground tonight not all that well covered. The cattle have it pretty well beaten down other than trees. I didn’t see a whole lot of deer sign really but they say they are in here. I stumbled upon a tree stand out here so I set up near that. I’m guessing the farms where there isn’t cattle will be my best bet for the 2k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A man of few words! but when he speaks the are words of POWER! lol Congrats man! I struck out again this morning Idk what was wrong with this weekend but the deer were not moving in daylight at all!
Joe that is pretty special that you were able to show someone else what hunting is all about. It brings me back to my first archery deer and remembering how excited I was. Nice video! He’s “hooked for life” and not just in hunting either.
Hasn’t been a terrible sit for me. No deer, but saw a ton of turkeys and they are all roosted right above me. I need to get a turkey tag! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Like Josh, I was the only one in my family that hunted. I got introduced to the sport by my Uncle and I'm so glad he did. Josh got himself into bird hunting and I was fortunate enough to introduce him to deer hunting.
For $5 I always add one to my license just in case. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
