Squirrels and mosquitoes. One little basket rack as I was getting down. Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
It's a great spot, Adam! The acorns are just pouring down. Next cold snap I'll be back in there. It's right on the edge of the bedding area. Gotta pick the right time. Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
one more week then off to North Central Kansas. My cousin texted me last night and reported two bucks chasing does. GAME ON!!!!!
Bugged out of work early. Went to the range. Hopefully on stand before 4. Not expecting much with the limited options with this wind. Some bucks starting to trickle in on the scorecard. Time to get after it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mornin' guys. Been busy as all get out the last 2 weeks. This week we're getting ready for the Lineman's Rodeo. I'll be free come Sunday. Needs to cool off a little and it'll be time to get after it! Good Luck, everyone! Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Okay, so I came home empty-handed from the last trip to Kentucky. I kind of expected it hunting a new farm, but I had a chance at a doe and botched the shot. I hunted here at my home place last night and this morning. I had two does walk past me downwind and the thermals must have been in my favor because they didn't wind me. At last light I had a lone doe hop the fence into my little food plot and she fed by me at 10 yards. I could have killed her easily, but this close to the rut I don't want to be messing up my small parcel doing a nighttime recovery on a doe. Besides, I've always thought that it is a mistake to shoot a big doe that is by herself. You never know what might be following her. There is a two day muzzleloader season in Kentucky this weekend and I will be taking my bow and my TC Encore up there. I'll bow hunt tomorrow afternoon and then I will extend my range considerably Saturday and Sunday.
Sat this morning until 10am. Had a scrub buck walk by at 15 yards around 0725 and then had 2 does come and feed on acorns at 10 yards around 0740. No real movement after that. I am planning on hunting a new set I hung over a fresh scrape this afternoon. Should be interesting with 15-25 mph winds for the rest of the day.
Well guys, looks like my luck has run out. I had a bad wreck on my dirtbike this past weekend. I ended up breaking my right femur and tore my meniscus, acl and hamstring on my left leg. I have been in the hospital since Saturday night. More than likely my season is done for . I will be on here periodically. Sorry to let you guys down Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
