Just a reminder everyone, the crucial thing is getting your two pics. Nothing worse than leaving points off the board. A lot of excitement after a kill, just wanted to mention it one last time as the frenzy is only a mere 2 weeks away.

With your bucks, if successful, you also need the score breakdown. Take a screenshot if you use an app, take a picture if hand tallying or type in each of your measurements manually.

Actually had to request 50 points be removed from our team last year as the hunter forgot his bow in the pics.

Good luck, and don't forget all your mental checks before loosing that arrow.

the stand i shot my doe out of im affraid to say has been there for sometime. I did a safety check on it while climbing up.
the area is very tight quarters with only close shots with limited shot windows. We have noticed the deer arent traveling in same places anymore so our normal stand locations havent been productive. I sat in this stand with the thought that Id learn something though probably not shoot anything.
in all I had 5 doe and a raccoon within 15 yards, none knew I was there.

When I wanted to get out of stand there were 2 does milling around, so I moved a little trying to get them to scram, they stuck around for no joke at least 15 minutes. After moving the one doe would look at me pound her foot then just keep milling around.

The doe I shot i had a very small shot window, I got my arrow through this ahout 8 inch gap in branches and double lung / heart shot her.
I could see blood pouring out with her first bound or 2. I watched her until she fell over. Great part was about 50 yards behind that stand is a 4 wheeler trail, she fell 5 feet from that trail, made getting her out a lot eaiser.

@buckjeezy can you correct your entry in the score entry thread?

You need to measure the circumference midway between the G3 and tip of main beam on bith side for the 4th and final circumference measurements.

All deer get 4 mass measurements regardless of points. 4 if a spike and only 4 if a typical 14pt.

Will add a few inches but not much.

@cls74 thanks for the heads up! I used an app to fill out the score and copy over and forgot to fill out the last line. It should be corrected now.

    That's my job

Truthfully, I seen that and then @NebMo Hunter was a post or two under and my phone was screwing up. Thought he posted the same pic twice, for some reason thumbnails don't load timely on my phone. Both images were the same.

Finally it updated and I could see that the does head position changed between the two

Congrats to the both of ya, freezers have a little less space which is what its all about

Gonna try and get out one of these days this week after work but idk if it'll happened. Didn't get back today until arpund 530. Either way I'm gonna be out for weekend. Supposed to warm up little bit but alot of crops are coming out so should be moving. Beans I sat over other night got cut today.

I've had 20 minutes on stand, which wws basically to cool down from sweating to start sweating again.

If it was November 15th rather than October 15th we should worry.

I am rut dependent where I hunt, could probably kill a good one if I had the means and time to properly scout but job just does not allow it.

Could be 50, could be 200. But my freezer will not go empty

Need some advice. I found an awesome spot in the park for the second period which runs October 25-27. Problem is, the perfect tree is crooked as chit. I have a cheapo hang-on stand that isn't terribly comfortable, and a climber that is comfy, but can't climb this tree. My options are 1) use my hang-on and hope to get it positioned in such a way that it's not leaning right/left or down, 2) use my climber, but also sticks to get up into it and again hope to get into a good position. I've done this before and it's not too difficult. Or, 3) buy a new stand that has seat level and platform level capabilities. I'm looking at the Muddy Outfitter right now but not sure I want to spend the money on another stand that won't get a ton of use...

We are required to use TMA certified stands so my saddle is out of the question, although this would be a perfect use of it.
