    Hoping to get out tonight. Checked cams other day and not an antler, only few doe pics, but plenty of wolf shots... but want to sit so who knows. Can’t hold off all season

    I had literally perfect conditions Sat evening, but saw no deer. I did spook two near my stand in the thick stuff going in.
    It was noisy as hell getting in with the dried up leaves! Nothing of interest on my cams.

    Mathews?!?! Find him/her?! Transgender deer? What? Anything?

    I saw 12ish Saturday morning. I’ve seen 2 doe and 3 fawns so far tonight. If I can get a doe in here tight I will probab take one.

    Congrats on a huge doe for sure. Has to be a ton of meat from her. I was hoping to get a shot at one tonight but wife went in to work for a few hours so instead I’m bitter on the couch with the kids irritating me... hopefully tomorrow

    Not sure if I will be in the stand at all this week - need to spend some time with the wife before my Friday-Sunday outfitter hunt.

    Should allow me to keep the pressure off my property until around the 24th or so of October - then I will hit it pretty hard for the better part of 2 weeks.

    Game-plan is set for now... Should be a great weekend @ deer camp!

    Last nights hunt for me was the last one until Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Me, my BIL, and 2 other friends will have 2 wheels out of the driveway at 4am with the truck pointed SW towards Missouri for 7 days of hunting. I’m going to take this week and just spend time double checking all my gear and spending time with my family. It will also give my home properties 2 solid weeks to air out. I’m not fully expecting it but I’m really hoping for a repeat of last year. These are the 2 deer that my BIL and I shot last year on public land.
