I’d run an arrow through him no questions asked! Good luck man!

He’s solid for 99% of hunters. I’m trying to strategize for a fraction of him now. Makes for a lot more fun and motivating seeing something like that around. I used to have some big ones around but our area had lots of changes and everything dropped.
Looks like we’ve got some cold and snow later in the week coming. Hoping to get some time out on a spot blind. Figured need some stand time and won’t disrupt the other spots.

Might head out later this afternoon... Weather is looking ideal. Just hesitant to lean on some of my better stands right now. Sooo I don't know just yet.

Watching 4 doe feed in the distance right now reviewing pictures on this rainy October evening... This guy came through here last might. If he comes back through this evening I’m in the right place.

I also had a dandy show up that I’m pretty stoked about! I’m going to go real easy on this property that he’s on until Halloween and then hunt in there when the wind is right. Image1570401692.148428.jpg

Yep good one for sure!! Good luck man. Play your cards right you will get him.

I only have about 3 cams out right now on this property - I’ve got 7 stands out and have only hunted 2 of them. This is my 3rd sit in this stand.

Tonight might be one of the most perfect early October nights I can recall. A consistent really slow drizzle. No wind to speak of. Light fog/haze in the air. Mid 60’s. I mean it’s perfect for a buck to slip up in the next 45 mins or so.

My sit yesterday was a disaster BUT I pulled a card and got a whole slew of bucks, nothing crazy a bunch of forks, 1 small six, a good six and good 8 pointer! The farmers have been working right around where I was getting daily pictures (of course) but Im sure some will stay in the general area.

    Good luck this week fellas!

As of now going to try and shoot a doe tomorrow evening then taking the rest of the week off from hunting. Looking like Monday evening Saturday morning for me this week.

Good luck guys! Going to be hunting around home for the first time this week and head to wi property next week. That has 4 cameras soaking for 6 weeks or so. Hoping to post some good pics for you guys. Haven't been out yet due to life happening.... but that just means less pressure on the bucks right?!

After tonight I'm off work until the 22nd! I'd really like to add some points for the team.

Well just added 2 properties I can hunt close to home which will greatly increase the amount of time I am able to hunt!

Same! Weather this week has been a little on the warm side here - I've used that as an excuse to keep the pressure off my property. Going to hunt Friday afternoon if the weather cooperates (front moving in with quite a bit of rain), then hunt Saturday morning and Sunday morning - not sure that I will have any afternoon sits this weekend. Weather is expected to cool off significantly here this weekend.

My next sit will be Saturday evening, I'll also check my cams on the way in. To me, trail cams are a big part of the excitement. I'm like a kid in that respect.

I'll be hunting the week of Nov 4th-9th. Should be prime time and I'm pumped! :tu:

A look at the front currently sweeping across Indiana and much of the midwest... Rain all day today - in the tree stand tomorrow morning.

Hey fellas, came to full draw on a doe a couple days ago but didn't shoot. Unfortunately I was surrounded on all sides by 8 does and it was a bad situation. Last night just had a small buck come into range. Gonna try and get a doe down tonight once again. Not a great wind for where I want to hunt but we will see. A buddy of mine killed a doe last night and we butchered it up and ate the heart today. Not sure if you guys have every tried it but would definitely recommend at least trying it.

Good luck getting out again. Hearts one of my favorites for sure. Almost always cut up and fry up when I come in from cleaning or next day. Great reward from a fresh kill

I’ll be heading out with my boys tonight sitting in the same ground blind where we had the action a couple weeks ago. We’re hoping that either a doe or a nice buck show up with the cold front coming through. Good luck to everyone else out hunting this weekend!
