Wouldn't a text or private message or maybe even a phone call be more appropriate to a "Friend", bud.

To go along with that above post, I brought it up to Jordan.

I'm really envisioning a pedestal mount incorporating a bunch of soybeans around the base....I mean tell me that wouldn't be SICK!

Absolutely no worry. I'd be the biggest hypocrit if I claimed I've never spoken or typed something before knowing or being sure.

I should be and am heading out now to put up some new deer stands for the ranch. No farming really to do at the moment.

Noticed that in the pics. We've got a couple hundred acres ready but the ground is pretty iffy yet. Snow/rain 30° crap forecasted for tomorrow thru Saturday so we're going to get as much as we can before tomorrow night. 30mph winds today and tomorrow will make bean combining pretty tough but gotta give it a shot.

Guy at the feed mill was saying the corn in the fields is at 50% moisture.

This thread and my team thread are the only ones I check on this forum anymore. I come to this one for Boonerville's big bucks and all of the drama that comes with it. To be honest, I find the drama slightly more amusing.
So to that I say Boonerville keep up the good work.
To Fletch and all other instigators.....well same thing.

Checked all of ours last Friday. 26-29% but there's definitely guys out there that have some very high moisture corn for almost mid October. Bunch trying to do silage yet. Another ****ty farming year. Only hope now is some respectable yields.

You have a few years on me, this is my 37th year deer hunting, 38 if you count my first year I didn't kill anything at 6 years old. I've been guilty of a lot of crap over the years too...far less as I matured. I can't imagine any aged hunter being able to claim pure virtue since they began hunting unless they started a day ago. I know I've been guilty of chasing antler, I still do and I'm not a damned bit ashamed of it. Everyone has different lines drawn not to cross. The only thing that really perturbs me is poaching and D bags in it for sport who don't like venison or game management or giving anything back into it...that's just a cheap thrill. Someone that gets out there and hits it hard with plots, cameras, land management, etc...and has a deep passion for it...well I'm going to choose to overlook some flaws. The truth is that all that work benefits the environment and wildlife even if it was done as a self centered goal.

All my beans went in late and were replanted at least twice. I planted 30 acres of 90 day corn on July 25th just as an eff you to the year. It made but is a long ways from dry enough to cut. I also have an elevated blind on the end of the field. I have 40 acres of beans that are getting close and another 460 that are in different stages. A frost Friday night and there's about 150 acres that won't finish out. Wet spring and wettest August on our records.

The self centered and self-promoting goal to be able to grab up more and more at the expense of others is the stain I detest most. Some will stop at nothing to achieve that end. That is what ruined it. Hunting is not the only endeavor that is bastardized by the greed for fame. But, it was late to the party and I am sad to have watched it unfold. Some of these bone-porn stars are just a product of their generation. Their end always justifies the means. The bigger the ego, the bigger the numbers required to feed it.
