cool...you will kill some deer and I would bet at least one very good buck...it's not like any other public land, it's legit.

I got a shot off on about a 130 incher last year on my 1st yr. Skimmed its belly. I only saw two other small bucks over about a dozen hunts. But I didnt have a lot of time to hunt it during the rut. Im looking forward to hunting it hard this fall. I scouted it a ton this year.

A couple of them. Yep. They are hit a little harder than others. But in general the base is lightly hunted until muzzleloader. I just have to learn it and I think I can get on these bucks early due to lack of hunting pressure.

Agree whole heartedly with this. I went from roughly 1994-1997 without seeing a deer, left hunting for the military from 1997-2009 and of course didn't see anything, then from 2009-almost all of 2012 before I even SAW a deer in the woods. I shot and killed the very first deer that EVER gave me an opportunity. Then nothing in 2013, two point buck in '14, nothing in '15, Scored in 2016, ZIP in '17 and a doe last year in '18. Shot 4 deer in an accumulated 14 seasons so far (all with a bow btw). And if I want to get cranky about it, that's 4 deer in the past 25 years. So, yeah, realistic for me is a great day in the woods SEEING a deer, a 100% successful season is recovering a kill.
