I just looked at the extended forecast for opening day for me next Saturday. They are saying that the low will be 42 with a high of 64. That is freaking awesome. Last year I believe it was in the 80s!! Looks like there might be a couple day stretch of temps like that n Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
The weather is looking really good for the Saturday opener. . Hopefully this dude walks by. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

38 degrees overnight tonight in 4A! Very excited about tomorrow, maybe the best weather for opening day of archery season I can remember, although I've only been at it since 2012 or so. I've got a 2 month old son at home, so I'm not going to be too picky about a buck...although we have a very nice 3 year old 8 point showing up. Pretty sure he was a giant 6 last season, I can't believe he survived! Christmas eve don't got nothin' on opening day eve!
Super pumped to get into the stand tomorrow, starting the morning with 40*, best temps I can recall in a while for the opener !
Temps are going to be great in 5b also. Little windy now but I think that’s supposed to calm down tomorrow. Good luck to all!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Sat in my tree this evening, went in about 330. About 400 someone started shooting. They continued shooting until 530. I got a text from land owner and said "oh I forgot you were out there" - so I got down, snuck behind the hedge row and started my way out when about 100 yards out, I get shot at with a 22. I yelled "dont shoot me" and ran the rest of the way out. I just collected myself enough to be able to breathe. I have permission to be there. I am so upset. I am pulling my stands and done out there.
WTF, was it the land owner or someone else. i think i may have to talk to the game warden if i was you
Landowner isn't allowed guns at the time. His text said "Oh sh*t my bad that's my buddies I completely forgot I'm so sorry" - that was after I texted when they first started (4:14) and told him I was out there. His text was at 5:15 I told him - I'm getting out - they can continue on. Mind you, they were shooting BEHIND his house in another chunk of woods. At 5:27 I got a text "There done now that was the last clip in sorry didn't even dawn on me" The 22 came from the direction of his house. 22's have a distinct sound, I know it was a 22. It also hit the beans a couple rows away from me. My guess would be this was not the buddies shooting as they did not have a 22 that I could hear (AR, Rifle, and a handgun is what it sounded like). Also it was only ONE shot. Nothing more. I did see a truck fly down the road shortly after - but not sure if that was coincidence or what. I am not getting anyone involved as I don't know who or where it was actually from. But, it freaked me out enough I am done hunting there. I have a chunk of land across from state game lands I have permission on. Otherwise, I am going to Ohio where we have sole permission for a good chunk of woods. I hate gun hunting because I don't trust people - now I have to fear this...
still not right thou. i don't blame you for leaving. atleast you have other spots to enjoy the woods. Best of LUCK to you
It's definately not right, I 1000000000000% agree. I cannot believe someone would even do that. In broad day light, too. Other spots in PA haven't really been scouted - besides a camera a couple weeks. But, I know they'll be there once people start moving about the game lands.
I live and hunt in York County, just south of Harrisburg. I grew up and still make it out to hunt in Butler County as well. I got a York County doe down already this year
