Well, that was not planned. Shut second alarm off, blinked and went from dark to a brightened window.

Just had 2 bucks pass behind me. They are supposed to use the trail in front of me. 1 was a 6pt. Not sure of the other. I think it's the bachelor group I got pics of before. This is the guy that travels with them I'm waiting for. IMG_20190926_155728.jpeg

man, some of you guys have some great looking spots in your "first sit" hunt photos. Jealous!

I'll be in the stand tonight if all goes well today at work.

To my gamblers in the group: O/U 4 deer killed on this thread this weekend. I'm taking the over, and one of the kills will be me!!:cool: Good luck to all hunting this weekend.

Dude, the EXACT same thing just happened to me!
A 4 pt, a wide shooter 8 pt and I think there was another but not sure.
They hung up on my scent trail for a few minutes. The 4 came my way and passed me at 10 yds.
The big one went straight and disappeared on me.
    SOB!

Oh my god there was another buck and I just saw him. He did a big circle all the way around me and he looks like a giant eight pointer

Might stay another hour. I think they went to their bed. Might come back here tonight to catch them coming out. Have to pull my card when I leave maybe that will tell me something different. Wind was right if they came on the lower trail but since they went behind me it's going in their direction.

I'll be in the VT stand early tomorrow morning and tomorrow afternoon for the VT opener. 29degrees and high pressure in the morning, 55 and sunny in the afternoon. I'll be hunting over the clover, chicory, alfalfa plot I planted this Spring and then over seeded in August with oats. Its super green and lush. Also apple trees all around me and the radish/turnip plot about 100 yards away. All right next to a small brook. We will see.
