Was pretty cool to double up. I haven’t killed a deer in September in nine years. After dragging, gutting, quartering the meat and putting it in a cooler of ice, I remembered why. I’m beat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
at least a couple more. Both of the first two went to a friend's family. I'd still like to put a couple in my own freezer. There's not a limit on them in the city so I'll shoot as many as I can find a use for the meat.
I was estimating 10+ based on the reports you've posted here. Keep knocking em down and get that meat in the freezer! I can't imagine receiving 2 free deer like that. You are a good man for donating what you can.
I mean I "could" shoot 10 easily...but I'm not one to shoot any more than I will use. Considering I still have buck tags to fill, and I shot a bear earlier this year, I'm not gonna fill my entire freezer with does. But, there are a few other people that I know may need/want some meat. If I confirm that, then slickheads beware
Pulled some cards today. My drop tine deer is still around. Im officially making him #2 on the hitlist. Gonna call him Spur Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Those are some awesome bucks. I can’t wait to get back to Illinois to check my cameras so see what I got running around this year. Good luck on getting a big one this year! Hillview Hunt Club
Back in a tree this morning in the suburbs. Had to sit in the truck for 15 minutes because there were 4 deer in the yard of the house where im hunting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You strictly doe hunting the suburbs ? I thought you mentioned you could hunt bucks if you kill X amount of does. I know the suburbs hold some big ones in Pa can’t imagine what IA has
Yes I have to shoot a number of does this year to earn a buck tag for next year. And yes, there are some absolute giants in the city. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yesterday afternoon was epic. One of my very best friends and hunting partner shot Our number one target deer in the city urban zone. I was fortunate enough to be in the tree behind the camera. 8 years old As near as we can tell. It was a wild experience to see a giant buck walk through several yards and down the driveway before he got to our stand. We were hunting in literally the corner of a guys yard. All the neighborhood deer were flooding to an oak tree that was dropping acorns on the driveway where they were easy pickings. He ended up shooting him at 8 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
