Finally 100% cough free and still the oneriest little chit you will ever meet. Brothers neighbors dogs gave him Kennel Cough awhile back.

I'll have an endless supply of treats for him, he already told me so. I'll oblige

He's 12 1/2 years old and always my best friend. In a way I hope I go before he does, would probably be easier that way but know it won't happen.

When your pregnant daughter calls and asks if I will make her a roast venison dinner because she is having a craving.

I will never forget the day when my wife brought home a rat terrier chahuhua mix. I hated little dogs. Damn things grow on you. Pita know exactly how to get what she wants. She is a champion mole hunter as well.

Last night my boys lost a heart breaker of a baseball game by one run in extra innings. They both played great and knew that they lost because of a couple of kids on the team that have never played before. Instead of whining or complaining about their teammates, or trying to blame the umpires, they held their heads high, were kind and encouraged their teammates that struggled. Then they shook hands with the opponents (who didn't earn the win so much as mistakes handed it to them) and walked off the field smiling. That kind of sportsmanship is so rare in kids sports these days and made this dad more proud than if they had won.

This reminded me of how much of a Ahole I am.
So my daughter is Capt of her Volleyball team and lost sectionals last year by a point. Fast forward to this year and we are at game 6 of reg season visiting team to a undefeated team that pregame is talking crazy shiz in the stands . I am 1 of 15 people in the stands for my girls. We crush them... Like ewwwww that's bad crush. So it's best of 5 and right before each game the other team spectators would begin clapping .... Faster... And faster.... Then right at the culmination of it they tried to tell their teams cheer..... But alas they do not know me. I can be heard counties away. Everytime they did it and Everytime I yelled overtop of them all LETS GO NOTRE DAME. It's was so bad my girls on the court were laughing and putting their fingers in their ears. Even the coaches were holding their bellies laughing

I see nothing wrong with competitive banter in support of your team, especially once the kids are high school aged or older. That type of stuff has no place in 8-year-old baseball though.

I'm confused as to whether to post here or in the best things in life...so I'll post in both

Headed home for the week. Flight already delayed, now indefinitely paused...as we sit at the gate and maintenance of an airline whose mechanics are on strike...

On take off, full power, pilot cuts the engines, deploys flaps and lock up the brakes. (a nice controlled skid with a hint of drift in an A321 (Big plane))... Equipment malfunction.

    Everybody safe, e-ticket ride...

...I still want to get home. Flight just taken out of service.

Getting this pic yesterday from my sister in law. She knows that by noon today my little niece is going to be fully set up with a bow, target, arrows and me setting up a range for her. Happy and proud. The best part, once my other niece sees this one doing something.. I am doubling everything I buy today. 00100dPORTRAIT950010095BURST2019092716560845795COVER.jpg

Pulled a chip today. I have not been checking it much because I get bored of looking at pictures of does and fawns. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised at what has been coming thru the past couple of days.

Coming up on the last days of deer feeding, they get apples, carrots, squash and white tail delight some poured in the pumpkin shells. the buck that made me optimistic is showing up most nights, I will catch up to him when the time is right.

Beating up the insurance companies desk adjuster to the point that the supervisor has to jump in because they realize that claim is about to pay the policyholder like a lucky slot machine and all bc some stance they took that is basically acting in bad faith. So being right, fair and a good contractor that refuses to back down is one of the best things today. Hell, I might even have a beer at lunch.
