I would have to say my phone. I used to take a paperback with me and nothing beats reading a good Louis L'Amour while sitting in a tree.

Second guessing myself. Normally I make the decision based on wind, evening or morning sit, ect.. but you always wonder this or that, so throw overthinking into the mix too.

Work. If I didn't have to work, I would be in the stand 250% more.

    Wouldn’t we all!
    Lol.

I’d probably be a pro fisherman by now too! (Or at least good at it!) But I can’t afford a boat and tackle without an income! Lol.

This is what retirement is for. Just try not to wear yourself out too much by then!

Not hunting enough different locations. I think I have a knack for finding sign and setting up on it only to find out they use that spot at night.

Easily my phone. It is such an engrossing distraction. Besides the bucks I've let live because of the damn thing, it really takes away from the meaning of why I'm out there to begin with.

Butttttttt I refuse to fix my problem.

    Chief Two Eagles once said...
“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work. Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex.” Then the chief leaned back and smiled, “Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.”

    I agree

I would say focus more time at camp hanging with the guys and having fun and not being so serious about the hunt, trying to find a good balance between the two

Well well well, in the past I have told people here to quit diddling with their damn phone in the stand and I get called a richard and now some are admitting that they are powerless to leave it alone. I encourage you all to try it, take it as a challenge sit in your damn stand and do not touch your phone for just one sit.

Wear a thin pair of gloves so your screen doesn't register your fingers, then if you want to use the phone you need to take off a glove. Keeps me from using my phone....most of the time :)
