Well. The WI property heads had torrential rains. They are closing roads due to landslides and roads washing away. We'll see when we can get back up there.

Yesterday evening I had a fawn in front of me forever and then at last light a doe with a spotted fawn. I let them walk..

This morning I was in a different spot hunting out of a ground blind. I didnt see any deer but I had geese, turkeys and a ton of birds around me.

About 1300 I'm going to head into one of my WMA sets. I've had a decent 120" pt showing up on camera right at the end of shooting time. So, I'm going to break down the set and move another 300yds further up the corridor trail the buck has been using and set it back up. Hopefully I dont bump him while doing so. Gonna hang it and and sit it.. Going in Jean's and tshirt, bringing a plastic bag to throw it all in after hanging the set, then gonna spray myself down before throwing my hunting clothes on. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Sounds like a solid plan. Good luck and hoping you connect. Another buddy txted yesterday as he was sitting up on a branch cause his stand was stolen. Feel crappy for that since he’s lost a few each year. But then hour later dropped a nice buck with a perfect shot. Great redemption. Tomorrow I’ll be out. Can’t wait now. Little sore from 7 straight hours of softball but not bad and avoided injury. All around win

[IMG] My camera pull was relatively unexciting, looks like I will have to get lucky this year during the rut. I did find a persimmon tree that should at least let me take doe, and if this bear shows up again I will be one happy camper

    That’s a big ole bear!

I am chomping at the bit to get in a stand. I got out yesterday to move a stand over a small kill plot and also hung two cameras, one over that same plot and one on a different property that I just picked up about a month ago. How has the action been for those that have seasons open?

Found out why cams were not very interesting. Neighbor was messing with lots in woods near me. Really not sure what to expect. She had dozer out yesterday morning making trails. Out and set though and feels great. Low standards so better odds. One year ago today was last years buck. I’d be ok with a repeat. Really want to see what the new arrows can do

Enjoyable sit. One lone doe came through. For me it took some restraint. Should be out again I think wed/thurs maybe. She might not have the same luck. But shooting for one of the bucks even if not big. Kids are too pumped not to try

Sorry I've been MIA guys, my schedules been crazy. Got out all day yesterday, a spike and a little four point came by at 12 yards yesterday morning, moved locations for the afternoon and had a doe bust me on the draw at 22 yards. Had a really cool all black coyote come through but no shot. Had class this morning then went right to work and then straight to the stand after. Saw one doe out of range. Will be back in the stand either tomorrow afternoon or thursday morning!

Man you guys are making me really wish I could find some time to get out in the stands. Going up to move stands and get all my lineman ropes set out, and will try to get out for an afternoon hunt on Saturday! Looking for a nice big doe for the early season.

2 deer down before most of us can even hunt - man that’s awesome!

Oct. 1 finally showing up on the 15 day weather forecast- gotta love it. I will keep a pretty close eye on that forecast and my cameras in the early season. Not sure that I have enough intel right now to be too aggressive. Might try and get out that first week to get a doe - other than that going to play it real smart.
