Everglades trip today. Came across a momma black bear and her 2 cubs on the buggy ride. Also saw several gators up close on the airboat ride.
Damn boss, alligators, bears, and I’m sure y’all got snakes galore... are you sure that you’re the hunter and not the prey.
Awesome elk!! Congrats! I'm going to Washington in Late October for and rifle elk hunt, Any tips would be appriciated i've never been out west to hunt elk. Congrats again.
Its been slow here up north. Jumped a couple does the other day, backed off to let them settle down. Gonna give it a try tomorrow morning. Passed a nice 8 pointer on posted land with two does this morning headed to my stand. I missed the first weekend of hunting to take this 325 pound boar. Man wasn't I shaking like a leaf on a tree.
We’ve been assigned an alternate. @BH.COM-CLINTON will be joining us. I’m going to take a break from my gravel shoveling and go check cameras. Then it’s to the liquor store, “cuz this ain’t no six pack job.”
Nice! That first one looks like he’s got some stuff going on on the right side. Nobody is being replaced. There were enough alternates to have a team of twelve, then they just divied up the rest, so we have 12 now.
Card pull was a bust. The camera that’s been soaking for 2 months that I had high hopes for, the card **** out. Does does and more does on the mineral rock camera and only 10 pics on the other.
Went and checked stands for the first time this morning, replaced the batteries in my Spartan cam. Will have to see what's been showing up. Did a little work on one of the food plots. I have permission on some nice ground. But keep looking for the right piece that I can buy. Have a ice chunk that's about 3.5 hours away and that makes it pretty hard to get to with a young family. Well guys so far we got bear, elk, shark, and squirrels. I think that should count for several bonus points, lol. Now all we need are some deer!!!!!
Came very close to getting a nice 8 last night. Came out about 10 minutes before end of shooting hours. Broadside at 25 yds. Started to draw back and my luminock lit up right in front of my face. Effectively blinded me. Deer didn’t spook, but by the time I got my vision back he had moved and I never got another clear shot.
What’s everybody’s setup as far as bows? I’m running a Halon 32, 475g GT Hunter XT, and wither NAP sling blades, trypans, or Magnus black hornets. Or better yet... a deer with each one! Ooohhh so close! Maybe since he didn’t spook you’ll be able to get on him again
Wow. Every time I pick my head up it seems 2 weeks have gone by. My bowsetup, I got a Hoyt ignite set to 60 pounds. Just put a HHA single pin on this year which I’m loving.
