As for the question, baiting open range deer I feel is fair chase, baiting fenced in deer is not. Open range deer have a choice where they go, bait or no bait. Is it ethical? I don't personally feel like it is so I don't do it but to each his own, if it's legal then have at it.

We plant about 100 acres of plots per year, yes it is expensive but it's fun and it is to benefit the wildlife since there are generally not more than three deer shot off the ranch all season. Ranch focus is on quail actually....not deer so yeah, we're happy to do something to benefit all the wildlife. For every single species of animal you can promote and hold on your property, it's said that at least 10 others benefit. Deer, Turkey and Quail so there's about 30 other species that are also gaining some benefits. Before someone asks I'll throw out a few....multiple species of songbirds and other birds, all predators (fur bearers and avians and people), rabbits, squirrels, mice, beaver, muskrat, otters (we also provide ponds for water) and the list goes on and on. That didn't even touch soil life.

No I can just write an X on a piece of paper and call it yours. Plus it is called a question, I asked why you care about Minnesota hunting regulations, do you hunt here?

So hunting bear over bait is perfectly acceptable but baiting deer is reprehensible? I know it is legal to bait bear but still.
