Yes and I’m shooting about 25 yards. I’ve got to range it but I keep forgetting my range finder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's awesome Bob! I may have to try the saddle...next year. One investment at a time. This year it is replacing worn out cheap hunting clothes and hopefully a new bow. A bit of crappy news, I think my wife gave me a cold. Opener is Sunday. Daaaaammit. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I was going to get out and do more mowing today, but it was just too stinking hot and humid. Maybe tomorrow. I got some liquid fertilizer to spray on the food plot, too. So when I do get out next, it’ll be a productive day.
Thanks I got to muddy hang on stands and trying advance tree stand sticks. Been practicing not real impressed with the stick I actually went and bought good harnesses and lineman belt and stuff. Never wore a harness til now trying to teach the boy to be safe and decided I better off safe to lol. Thanks for the info
Two weeks and two days for me. Are any of you going to the public land gtg in Ohio the boy and I will be there. I really like the area Sent from my Pixel 2 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I am planning to be there. Odds went from 75 percent going to 50/50 at this point though. A get together would be epic so I'm still optimistic. A bunch of us were planning a get together in SE Ohio, Bob. There's an entire thread dedicated to it. Basically a long weekend public land hunt near lake Alma the weekend of oct 12. Anybody feel good about getting one early season? I got a buck early last year but this year I dont have one "patterned" quite like last year. So I dont have a lot of confidence for opener success here. I may go to some public land and do a mid day hunt on a pond, since its gonna be 91 damn degrees. Dunno. I'm still hoping to have one down before my first week off in October so I can have some jerky ready for that week. I feel ya on the heat I'm way past ready for highs in the 50s or 60s. I'm seriously considering going back in after work tonight but it's 90° so idk how motivated I'm gonna be once I hit that ac at home. Lol Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I have the alarm set for tomorrow morning. Everything is packed up and ready to go. I am optimistic about it.
I am out setting up a new camera before work. I usually put them up about 10 feet. I picked out a tree that had a dead branch the size of my wrist, about 4’ up and in the way. I took off my pack pulled out my saw and started cutting the branch. It was oak so it was kinda tough. I got the branch off and all of a sudden a I get stung in the back of the neck. I looked around and I’m standing in a yellow jacket nest they are all over me. I got stung a total of five times. I still had to go back and get my pack. I just grabbed it and ran luckily I didn’t get stung again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I absolutely hate yellowjackets! I will go out of my way to kill the whole nest if I find it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
It is...ridiculously warm. I may have a brain injury for doing this to myself but here I am. If I could get a light breeze it would be fairly bearable. Actual temp right now 93° feels like 96° lmao I'm an idiot. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Not an idiot! If my season was open I would be out there! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haha idk I think that just proves there's something wrong with both of us Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
