Hell yea. I'm assuming you're shooting it freehand?

Yes and I’m shooting about 25 yards. I’ve got to range it but I keep forgetting my range finder.

That's awesome Bob! I may have to try the saddle...next year. One investment at a time. This year it is replacing worn out cheap hunting clothes and hopefully a new bow. A bit of crappy news, I think my wife gave me a cold. Opener is Sunday. Daaaaammit.

I was going to get out and do more mowing today, but it was just too stinking hot and humid. Maybe tomorrow. I got some liquid fertilizer to spray on the food plot, too. So when I do get out next, it’ll be a productive day.

I am planning to be there. Odds went from 75 percent going to 50/50 at this point though. A get together would be epic so I'm still optimistic.

A bunch of us were planning a get together in SE Ohio, Bob. There's an entire thread dedicated to it. Basically a long weekend public land hunt near lake Alma the weekend of oct 12.

Anybody feel good about getting one early season? I got a buck early last year but this year I dont have one "patterned" quite like last year. So I dont have a lot of confidence for opener success here. I may go to some public land and do a mid day hunt on a pond, since its gonna be 91 damn degrees. Dunno.

I'm still hoping to have one down before my first week off in October so I can have some jerky ready for that week. I feel ya on the heat I'm way past ready for highs in the 50s or 60s. I'm seriously considering going back in after work tonight but it's 90° so idk how motivated I'm gonna be once I hit that ac at home. Lol

I have the alarm set for tomorrow morning. Everything is packed up and ready to go. I am optimistic about it.

I am out setting up a new camera before work. I usually put them up about 10 feet. I picked out a tree that had a dead branch the size of my wrist, about 4’ up and in the way. I took off my pack pulled out my saw and started cutting the branch. It was oak so it was kinda tough. I got the branch off and all of a sudden a I get stung in the back of the neck. I looked around and I’m standing in a yellow jacket nest they are all over me. I got stung a total of five times. I still had to go back and get my pack. I just grabbed it and ran luckily I didn’t get stung again.

I absolutely hate yellowjackets! I will go out of my way to kill the whole nest if I find it.

It is...ridiculously warm. I may have a brain injury for doing this to myself but here I am. If I could get a light breeze it would be fairly bearable. Actual temp right now 93° feels like 96° lmao I'm an idiot.
