I hunted with Dustin this year and already have trips booked with him for next year and the year after next. Great guy. Well I sat in the stand for about 4 hours tonight and had a few doe come in down wind of me and it was over before it started. Was about 10 degrees hotter than it was supposed to be so I’ll try and see if I can slip out in the woods tomorrow night.
Ya anybody that's looking to hunt goats, muleys, Western whitetails or elk should get ahold of Dustin in off season. Need points acrued to get some of the tags so gotta plan ahead. They seriously are one of the best outfitters in Western US and amount of animals is amazing. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Good to hear that. I have some preference points for Elk and mule deer in Wyoming. I’m hoping I can get out there in the next year or two. I will be sure to discuss this with him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mornin' Everyone, It's hot and humid here. Of course, it's the first of September!! With what we had so far I've been given the Captain role and our team name is Nock n' Roll. Let's roll over the rest of the group and keep this bunch together for another year or 2. It's been done so why can't we do it? Best luck to all of us!! Be safe and have fun!!
As you can see I changed the name on the team thread. I had to make an emergency trip to Jonesboro, AR today but my brother and I are headed back to Kentucky now so I'll be back on stand tomorrow morning.
Drive safe. Killed a bunch of snow geese outside of Jonosboro a few years back. I don't remember the hotel we stayed in but the bathtub was probably never the same.
I wish I could be of some assistance with that. Somebody’s kid or grandkid could probably whip something up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
All right, some of you might be a strong believer in the moon phase and some of you may not be phased by the moon. That said, according the latest information that I can find the following dates are RED MOON days and you should plan your hunting schedule accordingly. SEPTEMBER The 18th thru the 23rd OCTOBER The 1st thru the 6th, the 17th thru the 22nd and again the 30th & 31st NOVEMBER The 1st thru the 4th, the 14th thru the 19th and again the 28th thru the 30th DECEMBER The 1st & 2nd, the 13th thru the 17th and again the 28th thru the 31st
Very good Brett. I pay attention to the moon and the barometer. Of course the wind trumps all. I'll hunt a different farm if the wind is wrong in the place I'd plan to hunt.
Shot a few rounds of target practice today. Finding that when I am shooting distance I shoot better groups because I know my form has to be perfect. At 40-50 yards I am punching the center but then I go to 25 yards and slap the release and lose an arrow. Frustrating that I relax too much at close distances because mentally I am thinking its a chip shop. Always room for improvement in the long AND short game boys...
LMMFAO I used that for 20 years in the Navy and carried it over to my civilian life. I had to go visit HR twice over it. LMMFAO told them to suck it and fire me. I'm still here.
