To be honest when I get a big fella showing up this time of year I don't get too fired up because he will be gone once the velvet comes off.

I have a smaller property, if I have a mature buck bed on the property they are not on camera. Some of the biggest bucks I have shot I have never got a picture of until it was dead. My place is a doe town, the bucks come.

Every property is different. Some bucks spend 12 months out of the year on the same property while others summer in one spot and winter in another. I say keep the hope until he’s gone. Good luck with him whatever you decide to name him.

Let him grow one more year and with the right property he will be an absolute giant. Although I would shoot him now. Best of luck
