Just wondering what everyone else does in the early season to camouflage your hands. Even my lightest pair of el cheapo gloves seem like they are going to get pretty hot in the opening weeks of season. I typically have hunted only cooler weather in the past so I haven't tried any alternatives to cold weather camo gloves.
You don't need anything on your hands. Watch Dan Infalt or some of The Hunting Public episodes... They are in the tree in their normal every day clothes with 0 camo.
Good to hear! Yeah I watch the Hunting Public all the time! You're right, they typically don't wear gloves, forgot that. I know the one guy gets all ghillied up when hunting from the ground but he may not wear gloves even in those instances if I remember right
Look out in the woods as the sun is rising. Notice the bright sun hitting just parts of trees and ground as it moves through the dark leaf covered woods. Then add a breeze that causes dark movement over these bright spots. Think of how different your hands would look than that, unless your out there waving. That said...consider going in in complete darkness moving through the woods. Most need lights anyways, for those that don't what do those bright white vanes look like? I'm thinking worse than your tan hands. I made a " hood" for my vanes. I walk in without lights. Clean trails allow this, so having my white vane possibly looking like " follow the bouncing ball, remember that?, Isn't acceptable
Camo paint on your hands but only if it's an exact match to your bows camo...or dont do anything and dont worry about it cause the deer wont providing your still.
I never worry about camo paint on my hands when bow hunting elk, but a bit on the back of your hands would remove any possibility of glare if you want to do it. I worry way more about glare than I do the actual color. I also put a bit on my forehead, nose, cheek bones, chin, and my throat.

I use Black Out gloves from scentblocker. VERY thin and breathes so your hands don’t sweat. Usually only on my bow hand though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I camo my hands when I duck and goose hunt. For deer I don’t worry about it. If it makes you feel better burn a cork and smear a few lines on top side of your hands
I wear gloves in the early season to help prevent contact allergies. Thin merino breathes well for me and I just keep wearing them into the late fall and winter as liner gloves. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Over the years I've become a minimal scent (no cover scent), full camo hunter, so I wear thin material camo gloves in warm weather. I just feel more confident when I do so, because I see more deer than I used to.

Thanks for all the great ideas! I'm thinking after reading through everyone's answers I may just take a lump of charcoal out with me and darken my bow hand after I get in stand. Washes off easy and doesn't smell synthetic Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
Don't forget to mix blue, red and yellow food coloring for camo eyedrops to hide the whites of your eyes.
Haha too true, you can only do so much. That's how I feel when people are anal retentive about scent products. I mean, do you spray your bow? Rangefinder? Climbing ropes? Cell phone? Or any other thing that comes out of your pockets?
