One shot wonders works for me. I'm in a meeting currently that could've have been handled by an email, so I thought I'd see what's up here. I just found out there may be a hurricane hitting Florida this weekend. Guess where I'm going this Friday?

Sept. 15 here (which is a Sunday and I find that weird) our season opens. I'd like to hunt it, but if it is really hot and dead calm, I'll pass. I shot my Buck last year on Sept. 21 on a "cool front" and I knew he was in the area before going. I have a definite target buck, so I may hunt some public land early for does. Not sure but I just want to go hunting!

A few weeks ago I flirted with buying a Hoyt Helix only to chicken out, be a responsible adult and sock back the money for kid's birthdays (like 4 of them in the next couple months) and a bill or two. Sucks but whatever. I shot all of em this year and just love that bow. I'll catch it on sale or second hand when the newest bows come out and my aging Drenalin still kills em dead till then.

Well just went down and took my proficiency test for the urban hunt and found out only 30 people applied so everyone got the permit. I'm in! Some big bucks in that park and it opens for hunting next Saturday which also happens to be my weekend on call for this month so this ass will be 20' up a tree in 9 and a half days! Shooting a Centerpoint Sniper 370 with 20" Spynal Tapps and 125g Rage Crossbow X heads with Tenpoint Omni-brite 2.0 lighted nocks all coming in a hair under 450 grains. Super pumped to get a whole month head start on my season and 7 extra tags to help fill the freezer!

I still love my Matthews creed 70#, 29” draw but I shot a new Hoyt this year and if I was looking for a new bow that would be a contender for sure.

A.X. 4 pin driver, QAD drop away, GT pierce arrows, NAP killzone heads.

Season starts for me on sept 14th. I don’t usually hunt until early October but I am in serious need of some deer meat! So I might go slick a doe in September.

9 days until we get to live through you ZB, live from the stand style! I like it!

My urban season starts on the 14th. So nice having a spot that is 3 blocks from my house.

Mine's a little more than 3 blocks but not by much. I really wanted to get in so I can still get a hunt or two in when I'm on call. The farm is just a little half hour or so out of my range when I am but this urban hunt is gonna be perfect!

@Zblevins where about in West Virginia are you. I lived in Hurricane for three years. My favorite state, absolutely beautiful there.
