@spiker44 I felt bad that you had not had a "like" since you joined in 16.

I have a shot of hunting in KY as well this year through work. I am a safety manager and I'm over my Tx division along with KY (Owensboro area). One of the managers wants me to come up and hunt one of his farms. He is given like 20+ deer tags to use on his private land farm.

When does everyone's season start? In Tx, we start the 28th of September.

Sept 14 in WI. I think Sept 7 in KY this year, but if I go there it won't be until late season.
Oct 1 in MI and IN.

    Checking in from South Louisiana!

Excited to get this thing started. I will be leaving for Colorado in 24 days for elk.

Whitetail hunting lots of public this year in Louisiana and Illinois, potentially Mississippi and Missouri. Going to hunt a lease we have in Oklahoma at some point as well.

I'd give it another day or two then someone can send them some messages. Hopefully they are too busy scouting and getting their final touches done at their property

Dnoodles, is that pretty much all private land that you hunt, or all public? That's crazy amount of places this year, enough to drive a man crazy on which place to actually hunt lol. What's the method to the madness

I just love to hunt. I get all the fall season federal holidays off, and I save my leave for the fall. I bookend those long holiday weekends with a couple days of vacation and I can get 5-6 days off in a row and only burn 2-3 days of vacation.

WI is my buddy's 40 acres that we hunt together. The rest is all public land, run and gun.
MI is mostly my family deer camp on public land; altho this season won't be the same as my old man officially hung it up. He's too old and busted up. We've been hunting the same area in central MI for over a decade. I also hit a small state game area not far over the Indiana state line that I can get to in about an hour fifteen. I usually save that for late season afternoon-only hunt trips after the crowds die down.

Indiana is an area I recently started hunting again; I used to hunt it with my high school buddies before I had any idea what I was doing. I've been hitting that solo the past couple years, trying to see if I can apply tactics I've been picking up from TPH (specifically that Zack kid with the long hair.) Indiana has fairly cheap NR/OTC tags so I wait for the right weather, hit it hard for 2-3 days in a row and if I strike out it's not that big of a deal.

Never hunted OH before but if the planned bowhunting.com Get Together is still on this year I will be there. Saving Kentucky for January unless I have a stellar season otherwise. If I kill more than 3 bucks in one season my wife will kill me.

    WI- 1 buck tag
    MI - 2 buck tags
    IN - 1 tag

Junior is usually pretty active on the contest threads. She'll be here.
bbslayr I don't know much but appears he was very active on the shed hunt thread
TN_Guy has been around for a few years but doesn't post much
Illinibowhunter put a couple nice ones down on film last year
JungleJoe doesn't post much but takes nice pics

I'm not judging; I'm just saying they're not likely checking the forums everyday.

Nice brother! Sounds like a plan. I need to listen and watch more of the T.H.P. From a few episodes I watched, those guys seem pretty knowledgeable. I think next year if it all works out, I would like to be apart of that G2G bowhunting.com trip. I've already had trips to vegas, Jamaica, and next week I'm flying to Denver (Estes park) for my 1 year anniversary with my wife. I still have some time saved up for hunting season, but it will be a couple days here and there.

I hunt hard every season so you guys can count on that. I pretty much go any chance I get every weekend. Last year was an awful year for me and just our portion of east Texas to begin with and the first year I've blanked since starting bowhunting 5 years ago. My drought is ending this year though! Looking forward to being apart of the team this year and getting to know you guys.

I am in the same boat. I get every other Friday off and try to combine those with the holidays as well. Example, Veterans Day, I take my Friday off and get the holiday off, only takes 3 days vacation to be off from Saturday Nov. 9th to Sunday Nov. 17th

What's a good quality buck for your areas? 120s", 130s, 170s etc.? Last year a guy I was teamed up with killed a 170"+.

For my area, we've had several 3.5 year old bucks go in the 140s Within the last few years. For us 120-140"buck is about par for the course.
