Having issues with my rest but these FMJ’s have some nice punch. Im impressed. Unfortunately I’m also having issues with the epoxy on the inserts. A couple are spinning inside the shaft. Not having luck with my practice.

Does your FMJ weigh more than your old arrow? Just curious what gives it the nice punch.

I will have to weight them and figure out the FOC when we get back from vacation. But shooting them along side of the axis arrows they have a louder hit plus are a little deeper in the target. They are getting to the target a little slower so there is a little change in weight. Axis are @9gpi and fmj @11gpi

I quit! Another Covert is acting up. I swapped cards on the 4th, it took 12 random pics on the 16th, but nothing before or after.

How did people even hunt before trail cams?!? :violin::evilgrin:

I run Moultrie's on our property. The best cameras I ever owned were the M-880's those things were awesome! But unfortunately the last time I was at the farm in July it looks like 1/2 -3/4 of my cameras finally died on me so I only have two left. I have been trying to decide if it is worth even trying to run cams this year or not. The other guy who hunts our place put up a cam over one of our feeders and so far we don't have any mature bucks on camera which is odd because usually we have at least 5 or 6 in the summer then they disappear in the fall.

I have been toying with the idea of spending some big bucks and getting a Spartan but just can't get myself to pull the trigger on one. Maybe I will see what happens on the next card pull labor day weekend and go from there.

Well the boss had to run the giant 10 pointers out of the orchard again this morning! and of course, I missed it! his words to me "Paul this thing looks like a moose" and I take his word for it because he hunted for years when he was younger but stopped once he took over the farm! so I am very interested to see what this deer looks like because if it is the deer I think it is he's at least 5 or 6 years old and probably 140 or 150 inches!

Well it's about that time to see the teams we will be going up against this year. Does our captain want to move our team thread over to the 2019 contest?

Benny you might wanna also reach out to non active members on the roster and verify they are still around and down. We lost Collin but he will be with us in Sprint. Let's get a head count

I just saw my first yellow beans of the year. That means the bucks are coming back to the woods, right? :nana:

Yellow beans? where I am at in Illinois I am pretty sure most of them will be green well into October. They don't expect harvest to start in my area until beginning of October so that means guys will still be working well into November.

Yeah, most of our beans are still just a foot tall. This field was one of the few that got in on time.
