This year my son is pulling 60# at 28 inches and I was wondering how well the grim reaper 1 3/4 mech will perform his arrows I built are 435 grain. Any feed back is helpful thanks

at that low of poundage I would only use rear-deploying mechs. Not over the top opening.

similar in style but maybe not a 2" cutting diameter.
NAP Killzone low KE cut on contacts.

Honestly under 65# I would probably stick with fixed heads; but plenty of hunters use mechs at 60 with success.

Without going down the rabbit hole here... 60 is acceptable as along as FOC is correct. Another thing to check is true draw weight. My bow with 70# limbs maxes at 67. Which to me puts it close to the 65 rating. Find a shop with a digital scale and test it. Then consider some weight in the front and finally when you're done... Buy slick tricks.

I have shot mechanical with lower weight and the issue I have found almost Everytime is deflection. The exit is always somewhere crazy as opposed to where it should logically be. Hope this helps

Are they hard to tune? I am considering the hybrids or wicked tricks. I trying get him use 125 grain heads and don't think slick trick has those

They shot just like his field points,. He didn't have to change anything. However they are 100 grain heads
