The copper head scares me more than any other snake. They blend in perfectly with dead leaves. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Why kill it? They have their part in the ecosystem. Statistics show that anyone who was bitten by a snake was close to it.
Poisonous snakes have no part in my ecosystem. I don't harm non poisonous snakes. I've killed around 30 cotton mouth snakes so far this summer. A few water snakes by mistake. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I give 'em a pass unless there's some extreme circumstance. This was on my back fence on Friday morning.
Yesterday he told me you shouldn’t screw a small eye screw 3/4” into a tree cause it could “let insects in”. I respect my elders so I allowed it.
I’ve always wondered how many I’ve almost stepped on! I never see them in the woods so I know just not seeing them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
All of us have walked past more copperheads than we have ever known. One anecdote I offer as proof is a buddy of mine put a rubber one on a path he knew I'd be coming down one day in the woods and I never saw it.
Where I hunt it was infested with cotton mouths. You never heard a bull frog. This is in the swamp. Now after 5 years of actively hunting these things we see and hear the big frogs again. Hearing the frogs, seeing their eggs and only killing 30 cotton mouths is proof I am making progress. Can't let up. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Consider what poisonous and non-poisonous snakes eat. I never had killed a snake, never had to, never needed to.
