The M-TZ61 commercial Zero turn it get's delivered tomorrow I can't wait to see how much time I save mowing with this baby. My other tractor the mower deck kept breaking I am just going to use the New Holland TC33D to move snow. Who has a zero turn how much time did it save you?
Went from a 42" deck lawn tractor to a 54" commercial Cub Cadet zero turn and cut mowing time in half.
I just bought a Ferris IS2100 with a Kawasaki engine in it. They are a hell of a lot faster than a conventional tractor type tractor. I'm not sure how much time it'll save but so far it seems like I can cut the five acres here in close to half the time it used to take. Part of that is because of the full suspension of the mower though, where I drive all over with tractors and everything else, part of the yard is rough enough to give you a hernia with a conventional mower. It was either a Ferris or a Bad Boy, the BB was cheaper and well built but the Ferris had a better suspension system and an air ride seat, it's like riding on air. https://sleequipment.com/ferris-is-2100z-zero-turn-mower-5901588.html?fee=25&fep=664110
My yard isn't big enough to warrant a ZT mower but I knew a guy who had a lawn service. Went to a trade show and shelled out big bucks for a Skag mower with a huge cutting deck. Said he could take on more yards and pay for the mower in a very short time. FWIW, I remember a large estate in one town where the yard was mowed with a Farmall Cub and a 10 foot reel mower like they use on golf courses.
Germ You will love it and wonder why you didn’t buy one sooner It will take a few times to get use to but they are a breeze to operate You likely will save up to half the time if takes with tractors Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
When I still lived with my parents it took me about 4.5 hours to mow their yard with a John Deere lawn tractor. Once they got a zero turn (Bad Boy) that turned into about 2 hours 45 minutes. You will not regret it that's for sure.
I'm on my 4th zero turn....it saved a lot of time. I went from push mowing, to a 64" Toro about 18 years ago...saved about an hour...I can do the acre I cut in about 15 minutes.
I went from a 36” simplicity to a 52” bobcat. Mowing went from 6.5 hours to 3 hours! Best money I e spent in a while! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can mow four acres in three hours on a zero turn. And not even feel like I'm working. Plus, you can mow so close to trees, fencing, etc, that it will limit the weed eating you have to do after mowing. Germ...take down those bars in the back. Low hanging limbs and those bars will have you popping wheelies or worse.
I have had commercial walk behinds and then went to a 32 hp John Deere (2720) with a 62" deck and they were great. I'm now running a Hustler Super Z zero turn with a 60" deck and even though I still have the 2720, the zero turn is all that I use. Faster, more fuel efficient and I don't have to do any edging and my wife has flowers and all sorts of obstacles to mow around. It's just like running a skid steer but definitely will take a time or two to get the lawn mowing down.
First thing we did when it was delivered was take those bars down. I mowed the two acres in under two hours, took me a bit to get use to the controls, but I picked it up and it was breeze after. I feel I wasted a lot of my life on a traditional mower.
I work at a dealership, and we deal in these Altoz brand mowers. They are built in Greenbush Minnesota. Lots of guys use em for food plots as you can get a blade and spreader attachment for them. Altoz also has a wheeled zero turn that’ll do a whopping 19 mph... Sent from my iPhone
The deck pictured is a rough cut deck with swinging blades and can chop off up to, two inch saplings. Sent from my iPhone
