Whats everyone using? I've been checking out the lonewolf sit and climb the Muddy stalker, summits Xstand. I want them all but gotta pick one lol. so whats everyone's favorite climber they use or will be buying before the up and coming opener?
Not often any more and I don't travel to use it , that said I love my tree lounge only problem is ...too easy to fall sound asleep in it
I’ve always liked Summit the best. For me, it was the easiest to climb with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The last couple years I've used a Summit Viper SD. Lightweight and very comfortable. I did some all day sits in it, and was perfectly comfortable and sturdy, very quiet.
Is it easy to climb with? I was thinking about going with a lone wolf assault but tbink it would be a pain to Climber? I like the weight of each stand but I keep thinking about that climb lol
I have always liked the lone wolf sit and climb and the summit Viper. Both of them have their spot. This year I will be hunting exclusively from a JX3 hybrid saddle. It is like sitting in a summit but you can one stick climb and get in any tree you want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve never used anything other than my summit so I don’t know if it’s easier than any other but the summit is very easy to climb with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
My only complaints with the open shot is that I couldn’t be quiet setting up and when going through thick spots, it’d get hung on every sapling and branch in the county it seemed like. But people fill them with foam and stealth strip them to quiet them down.
Summit viper mini SD here! Have had it for 4 years only thing I would say is the cable cover wears out but you can still climb with it!!
I have a LW Assault and a Viper SD. Of the two, I use the LW more, a lot more. It’s lighter, easier to pack in, faster to hook up and climb. It’s not as comfortable as the Viper, so, if I’m going to sit all day, I drag out the Viper.
I have two summit vipers. the tree lounge got retired due to me butt falling asleep in it. WAY TO COMFORTABLE!!!!!
Started with summit climbers...way too noisy with the hollow aluminum tubing for my likes...switched to LW, king of stands in my opinion. I own 2 sit and climbs and 2 alpha loc ons as well as 2 sets of LW sticks. All that being said and some serious health issues I have switched to saddle hunting to lower my gear carrying weight. Neck fusion and heart attack. I wanted to still be able to film and hunt... impossible weight load carrying a stand hence the switch to the saddle. I hunted exclusively from the saddle last season except for hunting out of permanent ladder stands we have on our property. So to answer the question after my longwinded story Lone wolf all the way. As a side note I have a lone wolf stand sit and climb original that must be pushing 30 yrs. old that is in perfect condition. LW will last you your whole life if taken care of.
I have had couple versions of the summits and they been decent. I also like the lone wolf Sit and climb. The summits are more comfortable and climb a little bit better then the lone wolf, the lone wolf parts and carries way better and is slight more quite. Right now I am juts using my lone wolf
Summit 180 is my go to climber. I can say it's very comfortable but get those traction strips for the bottom part and the stability straps that go from the top half to the bottom so the whole stand is one with the tree. Keeps the top from moving if you lean on it and you feel more secure. The seat is my favorite cause I pack all my gear in it so I eliminated the back pack I use to carry. It's just bow and stand now when I hit the woods. I do hang and sits with it too and convert it to a hang on set if need be. All in all pick a stand that your hunting spots will allow cause if it's just a climber you are limited to trees, if they're not straight and branches are in the way on your way up this can prevent you from getting closer or in a better tree for the hunt! Good luck
Or if you want the comfort of a summit Viper you can buy a JX3 hybrid tree saddle. I have a viper and the JX3 hybrid and the hybrid is just as comfortable and you can get into any tree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
