Who passes a doe that comes in range? That's a meat for the freezer. I do not care what time of year it is, if a doe is in range, and I have a tag, it gets an arrow.

    What makes hunting fun?

    I'm alive.
    There are deer to kill.
    And coffee exists.

Don’t care about what other people are doing, using or killing and make it about you or the people you want to share with.

If I didn’t get excited about hunting anymore I’d have to get out of the sport. Turkey in the spring and deer in the fall. It’s all it think about.

I get zero satisfaction in taking a doe, it is about as exciting as butchering chickens.

Seriously!? Did not see that article going that way. I kinda figured there would at least be a mention of wearing nothing but a loin cloth.. sounds kind of fun to me during the early season.

Hunting has never stopped being fun for me. If it wasn't fun, I wouldn't do it.

It is hard to pass up a mature doe in range, my season is 3 1/2 months long and that's plenty of time to see a nice buck. Plus I need doe's in the freezer because I hate to buy store meat.

If hunting isn't fun you are doing something wrong.

That was awesome. Super cool to see such an awesome brother relationship. That kid has better ethics than 95% of the hunters out there. Super impressed with the older brothers filming too.

I also do not believe that every deer taken with a bow is a trophy.

We get one deer tag a year in Idaho unless you can draw an extra doe tag in the lottery. With one tag I pass on taking a doe until the end of the season. I do like putting a deer in the freezer, so at the end I will take a doe if I haven't had a chance at a mature buck.
I don't get any excitement when taking a doe with gun, bow, or sidelock. It just doesn't increase the heart rate or give that little rush like a mature whitetail buck does. I think it is due to the effort required, a doe just isn't that hard to see during shooting light.
