This crap makes my blood boil, but I actually agree that Nike has no business putting an American Flag on anything they sell. The company outsources everything they make to asian sweatshops and they jump at the chance to endorse this Kaperkenipple jackass and anything else un-American they can find. The guy took an oath when he got his badge he froze and people died because of his inaction. Sure a lot of complications like back up not there but he froze he was inactive. Sure easy to say my job does not involve dealing with armed people shooting up the place up still the man took an oath, is it no different that an officer getting favors using his badge as leverage? 1) A 2005 supreme court ruling (the Gonzales case I believe) states first responders have no obligation to protect the public. Any cop being charged for failing to protect the public is going to have to go through that court case. 2) the cop has a handgun...the bad guy has a high powered semi auto or auto rifles. Who is going to win that battle 99 times out of 100? Should he engage that threat without proper gear? Like taking on a guy with a handgun with a knife. 3) The cop advanced all the way up to 1 floor below the bad guy then his fight or flight instinct took over for a few minutes and all his instincts told him to stay put. No I dont think he should be charged. It would be the same as charging a fire fighter for not running into a burning house without the proper training and or equipment...would a firefighter be charged criminally for not running into a severely burning house without a respirator and holding a basic fire extinguisher? TDS is real. The left have been clammoring on about the excessive costs of the fireworks display and Trump's Salute to America. Then, when he announces the fireworks have been donated and thanks those responsible this happens. Guarantee that within the next 6 years we start hearing talks that the American Flag is outdated and offensive and needs to be redesigned to fit the "new" America. There's a reason they are trying to erase history.

He should be fired, not be charged. He doesn't have what it takes to do the job, but that doesn't make him a criminal. The psycho is the one who killed the kids, not the officer. Granted, he could have saved lives but it's a slippery slope when we start prosecuting cops/fire fighters etc for failure to do their job properly. Plus police departments don't always do a good job of hiring. Applicant pools are not what they used to be. Just a fact.
Always a good sign when the IT Helpdesk guy just starts laughing when you call because the mandatory annual online HIPPA training keeps kicking you out before completing it. Even the IT guy couldn't complete his training. He told me to get in line and get comfortable.
