Dont want an abortion, dont get one. Dont want a gun, dont buy one. Stay the hell out of people's lives and business. Republicans good, Democrats bad. Republicans bad, Democrats good. They both suck. Socialism, spending money you don't have on social programs. Capitalism, spending money you dont have on "defense " (insert any corporate lobby ).
I am anti abortion. I understand a woman to be of the “weaker” sex , @physically” , so rape or any sex involving her against her “will”, she’s free to make a choice. Any sex done with consent, she lives with the result. She’s an consenting individual, she’s responsible for her actions and where she puts her body. Take better care of yourself when you spread your legs and be responsible. The baby also belongs to the man’s seed. He should have some say too ? No ? What about the baby having a say ? I'm 100%. 50/50 % on abortions. Which means it's a non issue with me. Let God sort it out. I DO know, I've meet way to many peeps I wish would have been aborted
Which was quite common in the "boondocks" I happen to originate from. My mom was 6 month pregnant (with me) when she married. The same was true for most of my class mates. I'm happy abortion was not really an option at that time and place. Coincidentally, the Vegans are some of the most pro-abortion, live hating groups. Some of their YT figureheads are on record for their public baby-hate rants, and most of them had themself sterilized. But IMHO they could go further, and remove themselves from the world to make it a better place ... To paraphrase a famous poet here: "Happy slaves are the fiercest enemies of freedom." I know a lot of people who even refuse to realize their situation.
I fail to see any parallel in my argument and the left's argument for reasonable gun control...that seems a weird comparison to me. From my POV, you're conclusion is far closer to a form of tyranny. You have removed any semblance of freedom of choice and by further not excluding a pregnancy conceived from an act of tyranny, in my eyes you go one step further in support of it. That's fine, that's your opinion...it is what it is.....I just disagree with it. From my point of view it seems your argument is the one that is misguided or not well thought out or a fully formed opinion. Not to be crude and sorry if this statement is but...To me you're uncomfortably close to saying a guy jerking off or a woman on birth control is committing murder by choosing to waste sperm or not to conceive. I disagree, the choice to make an effort to conceive (or not to) is fairly easy to make. A woman being raped is robbing her of that choice and forcing her to endure 9 months of sacrifice and expense because of something that was probably completely out of her control. I was also an "accident". I don't see where that has any impact one way or another in this discussion. I wasn't the product of rape or whatever, just not "planned". Unplanned pregnancy is a long way away from conception from rape or incest in my mind. However if I had been the product of rape, I don't see my opinion changing in the least. I would see it as an admirable choice that I was not aborted but I'd still recognize the need and appreciate the fact the option was there for those less willing to accept an ill conceived pregnancy. In my mind yes, there is. We are all endowed with free will, when that is violated we have every right to seek justice and exceptions to the normal rules. For me, this is where a woman should have the right to impose her control over her own body and free will. Telling her she must carry a baby conceived from an act she had no choice in, to me, is almost as egregious as the rape itself. Whatever, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

Few pregnancies are legitimate accidents. An accident implies the outcome was unforeseeable and unpreventable. The use of that term in the context of pregnancy is a ludicrous image. "Whups! I just spilled baby-batter in your bake oven."
There is a distinct difference in choosing to murder, vs choosing a tool to defend yourself. There is interfering in people’s lives. On the right its banning gay marriage, and discrimination against gay people which is wrong. On the left there’s gay people trying to force a baker to bake a cake, equally wrong. On the right there’s defending the life of a innocent child, that’s good, also defending a person’s natural right to self defence also good. Sorry cant really find much good on the left side except supporting gay rights, which is pretty much the only thing besides “religion” I lean left on.
Yet a man that murders a pregnant woman gets charged with two murders. (Yes yes I know that sounds bad)
