What’s dumb about my post? Please, tell me.

I think we need to stop using age as the only measure of intelligence. I don’t consider myself to be Jim Shockey, but I surely don’t see myself as the moron you portray. I certainly recognize my ignorance on so many topics. It’s glaringly obvious to me.

But I will ask Justin, as someone who has all the answers, how else should I learn? Should I go mindlessly play call of duty with the other idiots of my generation? Or should I seek answers from those who know more than me by challenging their beliefs and values?

And was the internet even around when you were my age?

You always seem to have the solution. I hope I have it that figured out when I’m 50 :)

Well I can hardly wait to send a G5 on what ever carbon bolt or arrow I got with points or on sale from my second string Mission compound or Wickedridge crossbow. Having it sail through what ever sized deer I find great for me on the day I sit in the saddle I made from a sit drag or stand or blind I built. Knowing that this deer may smell me at any moment because the wind will always swirl and bacteria will always grow the second I clothe my freshly cleaned body. This creating the dark moist environment it loves to grow regardless of what I do. They will be fat and happy having dined on my ag seed plots and hay fields or the wild apples and red oak we have.

There are now very few people/products being on t.v that even remotely turn me on.
Been bowhunting deer for 36 years. Most of those being SWALLOWED up with bid buck mania.
Now I just hunt. Very few of my ( what others would say) big bucks have been taken by nothing other than being right place/ right time.
    Is camo important? nope.
Is shooting a high tech bow important? Nope.
Is a 400.00 stand important? Nope.
Is a 50$ for 3 broadheads important? NOPE!!!
We all need too look back at some old Fred Bear footage to really see how far this industry has sunken in terms of $ being promoted.

Y is it so hard for people to understand that its all marketing. Im a business guy myself and I advertise so essentialy im sponsoring the front page of a news paper, im sponsoring a billboard.
If i created a hunting production and wanted to sell id advertise on a hunting show because it works.
If you wana sell something and do good and make stuff called money, witch by the way if you haven’t noticed is how the world goes around, you put your products in front of people that will use it.
Very few hunters want to see advertisements from a RC airplane company and thats not who the RC Company is targeting.
    And btw advertisement works.
I use stealthcam cameras for the reason of watching BHOD and seeing the quality that was there.
    Bout and HHA sight also.
Shane, not picking on you but age is how you measure wisdom.
Ther a big difference between wisdom and intelligence, lots of intelligent people with no wisdom.
Wisdom only comes age no other way.

Not sure y im typing at 10:45 pm while im tired but anyway need to quit

Its sll marketing and if you like to hunt the best thing you could do if you want to do it for a living is become and advertising company just like all the rest.

I think ther a few idiots out ther that are insincere in ther hunting. But i think most of the guys really enjoy and love what they do and put in the time and work hard. Advertising just allows them to make money and not work the 9-5

I just dont get why people care so much about it. If you dont like it dont watch it (or buy or use or whatever else). There is tons of other content available that is totally devoid of sponsorship, tons of it- literally more than ever before.
It sounds like people that complain about athletes making a pile of money for "throwing a ball". If it didnt work they wouldnt be doing it.
FWIW-your gonna fins what your looking for- if your looking for chevy pickups- your gonna see alot of them, if your looking for something to complain about until hunting season kicks off-your gonna find a lot there too.

I guess when it is combined with the same tired formula used for production, it is not entertaining shows all all pretty much the same.

    Nobody is making anyone watch.

But advertising does pay the bills, and productions are beholden to show the wares.

And yes, often the same tired formula, but it probably beats some creepy 1:1 marketing which gets into data driven alternatives (already in some social media)...
