I am not one to buy a new bow that often. Once I get something I like that works, I tend to keep it. I just ordered my first new bow in 8 years. I have been shooting the trusty bowhunting.com edition Mathews Heli-M since 2012, and it has killed a ton of critters, but it was time for something new. I just ordered an Elite Ritual 30 with all new fixins. Feels weird honestly.

Ohh I'm sure I will. Only reason I bought a new one is because I shot one and was like "DANG! that's NICE"

Awesome, I'm sure you'll like the new rig! I shot the new Ritual in the shop and really liked it! In fact, just got a text a couple of hours ago that my special ordered bow is in - Mathews Traverse - always fun getting a new shooter!!

My last compound was an Elite. That thing was as smooth as butter. I'm sure will love it. Congrats!

I bought a new bow a week ago too. Not a big upgrade. My last bow was a Hoyt Powermax. I love it and it shoots great. It's just that I went in to get new strings and a tune up and had to leave it for a week. Had to shoot a real old Bass pro bow for a week. Started thinking that what if I needed work done during Elk season? Decided to get another bow as a back up or as a new first string. Got a brand new Hoyt Pro Defiant for what I paid for the Powermax. Setting it up the same as the Powermax. Bought an extra Tightspot quiver bracket and Quick disconnect for the stabilizer so they can go on either. I have a MBG 5 pin slider sight so I bought an MBG 6 pin Rush that has 1st, 2nd and 3rd axis adjustments. Same as the slider but no slider. Now just have to decide which goes in the starting line up. New stuff is so cool.

Yea it’s pretty crazy how advanced the accessories are now. Took me a week to figure out what I wanted.

Congrats on the new bow! I just picked up a Bowtech SR6 a few weeks ago. Was super easy to tune and feels great in my hand. Love it. Congrats again.

Good choice, I really want to shoot the Ritual 30.
I’m still shooting an Answer from 2012 and still love it.
I also have a new ‘16 Impulse 31 that I bought last year. I set it up and haven’t even sighted in yet.
    Congrats on the new rig

I still am loving my Elite 32....I'd have to do some thinking for how many seasons its seen...believe 4. Shot the new Ritual and nearly bit...probably should have now with the baby coming and doubt I'll justify a new one for a few years atleast again.

I looked at the prices of some of the bows offered now. Going out in the basement and kiss the Bear Whitetail I bought about 38 years ago. I must admit, bows have advanced by leaps and bounds. FWIW, three years ago, my wife was talked into shooting in an informal 3-D shoot. For two hours, I listened to questions about bows. A local sporting goods store had the Diamond Infinite Pro on sale; ready to shoot kit. She did good the first few times she shot it. When I asked her about using the peep, she asked, "Is that what it's for?" After that, her shooting improved a bunch!
Really like this website and the various forums. Thanks to all who ask questions and make comments!

I have been shooting g Elite since the Eforce I got a long time ago. I went in to get a leftover Ritual in the winter. I knew that’s what I would get. I shot 3 bows with my eyes closed to try and make the decision based purely on fit and feel. I went home with another bow but i’m Not sure that wasn’t the best drawing bow I drew. Enjoy it. Just know when you get a feel for that draw cycle there is little else that compares.

How do you like that sight? I am trying to decide between that one and getting a newer version of the CBE that I am currently shooting.
