Ladies and gentelmen, Monday morning I'm at work doing my thing I've been doing for 25 years. Climbing up to first platform on a scaffolding, the brace actually breaks, scaffolding leans and starts to fall, my instinct is to jump. 10 feet later, ouch!! Break the left ankle and severly bruise into the bones the right foot and ankle!!Doc says I was extremely luck that a fall from that high should have been a thousand times worse!! 8 weeks laid up, miserable!! Friends, be careful, wear harnesses and just be safe! life changes in a flash! Im lucky this is all that I injured!! IMG-0011.jpeg

Sorry to hear screwed my left ankle up real bad on my bmx bike in my younger days. Never went to doctor for it , but pretty sure i broke it. Now its real easy for it just to pop out of place or roll it. When it finally heals up you might find that certain style of shoes will bother you ankle.

Glad the scaffold didn’t come down on you and make the list of injuries longer! Wish you a speedy recovery.

Grommel. Your local Deer herd just let out a long sigh of relief!....but little do they know, even with busted legs, that you are plotting their demise.

Take your time and heal correctly. I retired 3 years ago being an industrial electrician. Over the years I've used all the different lifts, platforms and scaffolding. I feel fortunate that I've never had an incident. The older I get, the more careful I become.

    Good luck in your recovery.

Heel up. Follow the Dr's directions and when you are free of the cast do the PT.

You are very lucky! Speedy recovery and complete healing of the ankles and feet. You can pass the time watching the videos here.
FWIW, My grandfather was an ironworker. This was the time waaay before safety nets and harnesses. He did fall 25 feet and only broke his arm.

Dang man that’s awful. Thank the good lord it wasn’t much worse. Don’t develop an addiction to prescription painkillers.
Hope you heal quickly and recover well.
