The comparison isn’t relevant on so many levels. Come on you seem to be a fairly intelligent person. Surely you can see that you can’t compare east coast states to Iowa wanting to add a week of rifles. The number of tags and length of time rifles are used isn’t even in the same ballpark. I wish people opposed to rifles would just come out and say “I’m afraid someone will shoot one of MY big bucks “. It’s the same reason people oppose crossbows. I have no desire to use a crossbow personally, but I have no issue with someone else who does. I don't think they have an adverse effect on the numbers of mature deer.

No I don't think they are easier to kill mature bucks with. I see a lot more big bucks killed with compounds than I do crossbows.
Not sure about big bucks. According to the dnr the decline in archery and gun tags is directly contributed to crossbows. Crossbow harvests being higher than vertical bows now. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Honestly probably wouldn't change my situation much. I use minerals and supplemental feed more to get pictures than anything. I plant plenty of food so it's not like the deer on my farms "need" supplemental feed, but I like getting pictures and seeing what deer are around.

No lol. But the buckets sure are handy. I have lots of old Lucky Buck buckets that I use to pour my bulk mineral into when I go put it out. I use them for fishing buckets, my wife uses them for mop buckets. Come to think about it, the bucket may be the best part about Lucky Buck.

Which is a huge factor in why it would be disastrous in Iowa. Iowa is not a one buck state. It's a 2 buck state for every resident, 3 for landowners, and then there's party hunting, where a hunter can legally kill virtually unlimited numbers of bucks during the gun season. The bill in Iowa proposed allowing rifle with no change to season structure or individual limits. If Iowa had a one buck limit I would not be nearly as adverse to allowing rifles
