I am about to start fletching my own arrows, I am looking for fletching recommendations! can be anything! I am running CX Blue RZs. I am looking for fletchings that I can use for both hunting and target shooting! Thanks! Paul

I am running CX Maxima Blue RZs 27 inch in length with 100 grain shwacker broad heads. I am hunting white tails and usually shoot at max 70 yards in practice and the competition is 3D shoots for fun.
With a mechanical, you can probably shoot pretty much any hunting vane you want, but I would say Bohning Blazers or Heat. If you’re shooting less than 60 lbs., I would say 3-fletch. If you’re 65-70, I’d try a 4-fletch configuration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agreed- with mechs you shout be fine using 2" blazers at all distances. I did notice slightly tighter groups at extreme distances when I went to 2.5" shield cuts; but I also went to .001s shafts at the same time so not sure which was more of a factor.
Get a few to try and pick your favorite, will get plenty of practice fletching arrows that way. I’m a fan of aae stealth, hunter max, and pro max but also can’t go wrong with blazers
Check the clearance on your arrow rest, especially for drop away style. I had to clip the (standard) Blazer vanes for my hunting setup.
I'm running 2" raptor vanes on 27" Goldtip Hunter Pro's (they come with the raptor vanes already on them) with no issues for both 3D and hunting. 100 grain field tips and 100 grain 3-blade original Muzzys. I paper tune and then walk back tune and my broadheads hit with my field points. I was skeptical that the 2" vanes would stabilize my broadheads, but they have been fine.
you might try the 2 inch rayzr fletching by Gateway. went with it a decade or more ago and have never regretted it. Feather fletching is very forgiving, a third the weight of plastic fletching which improves FOC, and three 2 inch rayzr fletching stabilizes any broadhead I've tried.

Aron Snyder has been talking a lot about this lately on his IG and on Kifarucast as he tries to find the right mix that works for him for different conditions (noise, moisture) while also giving him the accuracy he's after. Similarly John Dudley covered a lot on this topic in prior NockOn podcasts and IG lives.
